Being a (very) frequent traveller, I put emphasis in comparing newly developed hotel project across the world. The Riva Vista sticks out from among comparable developments. Although the area, where it is located, might not seem the most attractive on the first sight, on the second sight you will realize that given the location the tranquility will outweigh a central location in downtown Chiang Rai. And indeed, everything important is within a reasonably short driving distance, the magnificent Blue Temple (Wat Rong Suea Ten) even within a 5-6 mins walking distance from the hotel. What absolutely sticks out, is the architectural and design concept of Riva Vista, the amazing riverfront garden and the incredible restaurant. Both for the breakfast choice, as well as for a la carte dining options the restaurant offers real haute cuisine style of experience. Truly amazing! The whole feeling is rounded up by the beuatifully designed, comfortable and spacious rooms, with panoramic bathrooms. Basement rooms even have direct access to the pool from the room. The efforts and friendliness of the hotel staff are also a clear assett, but given the higher range (star-categorization) of the property, this is almost self-evident at stylish hotels in Thailand. Being a great fan of such contemporary boutique hotel concepts I wish to express my highest appreciation to the owners, authors and the management of this outstanding hotel concept.

Very quiet place. New villas 2 rooms with a common swimming pool. The café is inside the area, but open from 9 to 3 pm only. The name is correct! Enjoy the fantastic breakfasts prepared fresh every morning. We will be back!!!

Truly a paradise. The scenery on the way up to the accommodation is amazing. Lots of beautiful nature. We were welcomed by the hosts and brought to our room. The room is very clean, modern and very nice. The outside area has a big jacuzzi and lovely garden set where you can sit and enjoy the view. The hosts brought us an afternoon tea, which was absolutely delicious. Some fresh jasmine tea and fresh fruits, with sweet pastries. Our dinner was an original “Akka” dinner, which is a Thai tribe from this area. It was amazing. We woke up to a beautiful view of the mountains and clouds with a wonderful breakfast. Easily the best experience we’ve had in Thailand, maybe even the best experience we’ve had anywhere. Thank you for the wonderful stay!
