The hotel is very well-kept, the staff is super attentive and kind, the breakfast is delicious and the rooms are very comfortable. The location is also excellent: tucked away in an alley of a busy Lazimpat street, but walking distance to Thamel and other spots. Bonus points for Piano Piano, the restaurant inside the hotel. The pizza was really good -- I ended up having it multiple days.

Premises, hotel and rooms. Located right in the middle of the Thamel area. Restaurants bars and shops around. The area is quite lively but the hotel is quiet. The room is large, beautifully decorated with a large balcony, the bed is comfortable. Cleaning staff are nice and always have a smile on their faces 🙂 Restaurant: breakfast is enough to choose from with wonderful waiting staff (unfortunately don't know their names) who are helpful and very pleasant in their behavior which makes the breakfast taste even better. Timber House is in a excellent location - right in the heart of Kathmandu. I stayed for 3 nights, and arranged a hiking trip through the hotel via it's sister company Himalayan 360. I was very impressed with the quality of the rooms, the friendliness of the staff and the well organized and good value hiking trip. Would recommend to everyone and would definitely stay here again!
