It’s a gem! There’s always something quirky at every corner, it’s amazing! Stayed there on my birthday and they greeted us with a nice deco on the bed. Besides that, we were also given 2 jars of homemade chutney and jam after we returned from dinner. Let’s talk about dinner at their sister company Sanctuarii - my partner and i dined there two nights in a row because everything was exceptional. U can’t find cocktails better than there, food was amazing, atmosphere was eclectic (just like the house), and service is definitely top-notch! On the second night, i requested if they could fix the Netflix in the room and they sure did. The staff, especially Imran, have been very friendly and helpful. I can’t find anything negative to say about my stay here and would gladly return again. :)

Everything was as expected and as described or rated by other travelers. The pick-up and drop-off were perfectly organized, and the apartment was very cozy, bright, and in an excellent location in the city, where the main attractions could be easily reached on foot or by tuk-tuk. The host answered all our questions promptly and clearly. If we ever come to Colombo again ourselves, or if our friends visit, we will definitely choose or recommend this apartment.

Perhaps the best hotel I've ever been to. True 5 star experience from the moment you step out of your taxi to the moment you step back into the taxi that takes you away to your next adventure. I was greeted with a traditional Sri Lankan blessing, including oil and pigments on the forehead (you don't have to participate in this, of course, if you don't want to). Check-in was quick, extremely friendly, and professional. The room rate was even a few Euros cheaper than the price showed by booking because they charged my card in rupees, and my bank has a better exchange rate than booking.com. Now to the room. I had booked an executive room. This room is so big, you could have a dinner party with 20 people and it still wouldn't feel packed. Very large, extremely comfortable bed. I booked city view and the main, very large widow front was towards the Skyline of Colombo with breathtaking views (Lotus Tower is behind a newly build apartment building and is not visible from any room or the rooftop). However, there's also a small window on the other side of the room that had a view to the ocean. So I got a sea view from my bed and without having to pay extra for it (I don't know if that applies to all city view rooms, though). The bathroom is very large, with a large and deep bathtub that also has a spectacular view of the city. Right next to the bathtub is the shower with the same view and the strongest water pressure I have ever experienced in any hotel anywhere in the world. I don't even have that strong of a waterflow in my shower at home in Germany. This made the rain shower feel like a spa treatment. Bathtub fills within 5 minutes, and there's even a scented bathsalt. AC worked perfectly and stays on even though you take the room key out of the power slot. Any amenities you could think of are present in the bathroom. Even body lotion and shaving kit.
