It's small boutique hotel with only 8 rooms. We had king's room and ruins room. The King's was perfect with windows on two walls. I should say, that windows were instead of walls. The view on tea plantations was stunning. Stuff in the hotel was kind and helpful. They were waiting for us, while we had delay due to our drivers car had broken. The stuff invited us with warm wet towels to refresh and wit ginger tea, which was prefect given the circumstances. Breakfast served to was delicious. Highly recommend this place because of the unique atmosphere.

Floating mountain has 5 well appointed rooms. It is about 20 kms away from Nuwara Eliya so it’s away from the hustle and bustle of a big city. It is was earlier a part of the Glenloch tea estate. Akila the manager is extremely helpful and is always present to make your stay comfortable. Gowri the owner was present when we were there and took us for a guided walk up the mountain. Neat clean cosy rooms. We were looking for a beautiful resort away from the hustle and bustle of the town and nestled in the mountains. The last one km will require a 4 wheel drive vehicle that is provided by the resort. All in all a lovely experience and we will come again.

The Glenrock is located in Belihul Oya, on the southern slopes of the beautiful hill country of Sri Lanka. All rooms come with a flat-screen TV, and a seating area for your convenience.

For nature lovers Sri Lanka is a paradise, this hotel provides just that exposure to nature and provided exceptional service to their customers to enjoy pristine nature in a traditional village in Sri Lanka which is not common in many parts of Sri Lanka. Hotel is surrounded by paddy fields (rice cultivation) and mountain range with ample water streams and medium-size water falls; we were exposed to sounds of water and birds during the entire stay and no sounds of people or street. Hotel is located in an exceptionally calm place; good for metal relaxation, and meditation. Hotel staff exceeded our expectations and provided local tours to experience village life and hiking in the mountains to learn fauna and water falls around the village. Hotel staff is exceptional in cooking traditional Sri Lankan or western food, kudos to the entire staff, manager and kitchen staff. This is one of the few places in Sri Lanka that we felt home sickness when we checkout. We will be back to this unique picturesque place in Sri Lanka in our future visits.
