This historic hotel has great grounds for short walks and is very nice to look at. The onsen was great with two different temperature tubs, cold plunge, sauna and an open air area. The breakfast was Western or Japanese in differnt locations and both were good set meals. All staff members were very helpful.

The facilities here were amazing. I have stayed at ultra luxury hotels in Kyoto and even if I compare it to those places, it was superb. The room was very large and my partner and I could open both our suitcases at the same time. They gave us a welcome drink in the form of a house made juice bottle - it was so refreshing and delicious. Very close to a nearby Japanese convenience store which made meals and cash out very easy. Very close to a bus stop - 2 minutes walk! Very close to delicious restaurants!

The hotel is absolutely perfect - we regretted staying only for one night. The rooms are super private, sometimes it feels like you are the only guests in the hotel. Private onsen is a pure luxury. The rooms are basically like 1 bedroom villa, super spacious, modern, comfortable and clean. The aesthetics of the hotel is beautiful: modern and minimalistic design blending with nature. Dinner and breakfast were delicious and memorable. Japanese hospitality is unmatched - we felt super welcome and the service was outstanding. Hakone is a beautiful area worth exploring - there are amazing museums also just around the corner from the hotel.

The location and ryokan itself were incredible. We stayed in the Luxury Suite with Open Air bath and it was stunningly beautiful. All staff were lovely and very helpful and the dinner and breakfasts were delicious. It was such a treat having two separate private onsens (one in the bathroom and one on the deck). The onsen on the deck has a spectacular view across a valley. This was a special treat for our 10-year wedding anniversary and it did not disappoint!

We stayed in the luxury suite which included breakfast and dinner served in your room. All meals were excellent, beautifully presented and served. Staff were very attentive and helpful. It’s the staff that made this stay, absolutely what expect that this price point. Pity the overall experience was let down by poor maintenance.

What a fabulous relaxing time in a wonderful location. Staff were absolutely amazing! The food and drinks were 美味しい . The hot bath facilities and the private facilities were outstanding. The room was luxurious. I had a wonderful stay.
