The decision to give 10 points has never been easier. We found this place to be the ideal home base for exploring Kovalam and Trivandrum. And here is why: 1. It is situated close, but not too close to the city and within a short tuctuc ride from the beach. 2. The property is beautiful and the rooms are clean, spacious and well equipped. 3. The entire staff (front desk, housekeeping, security guard, restaurant staff, as well as the drivers, ayur veda specialist and yoga teacher they work with) is extremely friendly and helpful. They really made us feel at home. 4. The food… is just something else. We can’t wait to come back simply because we weren’t able to sample the entire menu! Everything we had was delicious and fresh. Many of the fruit and veg are grown right on the property. We had never been to Kerala - or indeed India - before. We will definitely be back because we fell in love with the area and the food and the people. This is in large part thanks to the Amara experience. ❤️

The space is beautifully furnished, extremely neat and clean, and gave us the feeling that we were returning to our own flat once we stepped in. It’s rare to find a place that offers both comfort and a homely touch so perfectly. A special mention to the host, Mr. Vasanth, whose generosity and trust are beyond words. He made our stay smooth and pleasant, and his warm approach truly set this experience apart. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a comfortable, home-like stay with an exceptional host. Will definitely choose this place again!

John is just the nicest and most welcoming host ever! Even though I could only spend one night here I had such a good experience. The service you’ll receive here won’t feel like service - it will feel like coming home. John picked me up at the airport in the middle of the night and next morning he made me a delicious, full organic and vegan breakfast. I wish I could stay longer.
