Luxury Hotels in Thekkady

We stayed a couple of nights at this beautiful hotel. First of all, the place immediately felt very clean and welcoming. A wonderful fragrance fills the entire lobby. The ladies at the reception gave us a warm welcome. The rooms are very spacious, clean, and comfortable. The restaurant area is our favorite. The food is excellent and of the highest quality, and the dining staff is very helpful, polite, and attentive to every need. A special mention goes to the restaurant manager, Suresh, who was always attentive and patient, and to his assistant, Muthuraj, who was very kind and sweet. We highly recommend this enchanting place surrounded by nature.

Spice Village's location not far from Periyar Tiger Reserve is perfect for a CHG property experience. The entire property embraced the nature and culture of its environment. The cottage was beautiful especially the bright and spacious bathroom.There were many interesting activites to occupy one within the resort itself. I enjoyed the lowland cycling trip with one of their naturalist Ashley which allowed me to see the crops and birds in the Tamil Nadu lowlands aptly timed near sunset so there were more birds sightings. The naturalist's talk in the charming Tiger Club gave further knowledge about the environment of Thekkady. The 1.5 hr walk around the resort is a must as interesting plants, animals and environmental effort of the resort are pointed out. I happened to get Ashley for all the activites and he was friendly and knowledgable. Buffet breakfast was good but dinner at the 50 miles restaurant was the highlight. The lamb shank was perfectly cooked but the millet was even better as it surprised me that such simple grains can be done so well. I asked for a 2nd helping. The ayurvedic experience was excellent as well. Although it rained the evening I arrived and my night walk at Periyar Tiger Reserve was cancelled but the entire trip was not a disappointment at all due to the wonderful expereinces at Spice Village. The best part was I spotted the Malabar giant squirrel just outside my hut and the Nilgiri Langur while having breakfast without even having to step out of the resort.

A true gem nestled in the wilderness. This stay offers a rare and precious peace. Waking up to the mist over the trees and enjoying a morning coffee in absolute silence was the highlight of our trip. It's clear the hosts care deeply about the environment; their nature-friendly approach doesn't just feel like a trend—it's a way of life that enhances the guest experience. The air is fresh, the surroundings are stunning, and the sense of deep relaxation is unparalleled. The perfect escape for a peaceful, nature-focused reset.

It's literally a paradise in the wild middle of Kerala's mountains. The staff is way above the average, kind, resolutive. The private pool could be a bit cleaner, but it's hard surrounded by trees, not a problem, very enjoyable (the pool is warm so even in cold weather can be used).

The room was absolutely lovely and with lots of space, almost more of an apartment other than room size. Breakfast and dinner are of good quality and really enjoyable. While the property is actually really good, the particular mention goes to the staff, which not only were friendly and helpful throughout the stay, but also welcomed us all together at the lobby at the time of checkout with an unexpected and unplanned cake as it was my birthday!

The breakfast was great, a lot of options and variety. The pool was like a paradise. We loved the fact that it was built in the mountain and surrounded by so many flowers and beautiful gardens. The room was spacious and very very nicely decorated. Very clean and comfortable. The dinner we had was delicious. We loved our stay here!!!! 100% recommend

It’s within 500 meters of several key tourist attractions, including the Periyar Boating Point, where you can enjoy scenic boat rides; the Elephant Camp, perfect for an up-close experience with these magnificent creatures; and various cultural forms that showcase the rich heritage of the area. The convenience of having these attractions so close made my stay even more enjoyable. The hotel offers a range of amenities, including free Wi-Fi, ample parking, and an on-site restaurant serving delicious local and international cuisine. The check-in and check-out processes were smooth and efficient, adding to the overall positive experience. I also found the hotel to be great value for money, providing excellent service and comfort at a reasonable price. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the in-room amenities, such as the minibar, TV, and air conditioning, added to the overall comfort. The general ambiance of the hotel is welcoming and serene, making it a perfect getaway for anyone looking to explore Thekkady.
