Kathy and Peter are elegant hosts. Me and my husband quite enjoyed staying in their lovely house. We stayed in the Silver Room for two nights and it was a comfortable and relaxing holiday for us. I strongly recommend Birch House to stay for a nice summer holiday.

Nicky and Fraser are incredible hosts, they (along with their beautiful and very friendly dogs (Jack Russell & Ridgeback)) made us feel so welcome. The location is 10/10 We stayed in one of the rooms upstairs and were blown away by the view from the balcony overlooking the river and fields below. The room was perfect; a mix of modern features (loved the shower button) and classic high quality furniture. Nicky and Fraser happily gave us an entire list of great places to visit (Maiden Castle is a hidden gem). Breakfast was so good I had to ask Nicky for her secret to perfecting it, and she didn’t even bat an eyelid when we asked if it was possible to have our breakfast on the balcony of our room (somehow we were the first to ever request this).

We had a wonderful stay at at Greenwood Grange, the cottage was exceptional, extremely comfortable, spotlessly clean and full of everything you could need. Top facilities, quality bedding, towels & toiletries really make a difference. We checked ourselves in and the cottage looked so welcoming and cozy. We met Jackie the next day who is lovely and so helpful. The grounds are fantastic and the woods opposite are great to explore, including Thomas Hardy’s birthplace, the location is amazing surrounded by beautiful countryside and endless amounts of historical sites. Dorset is beautiful and the team have done a fantastic job with Greenwood Grange, highly recommended, we’re planning our next visit!
