Upon arriving, my flight landed after the lodge had closed. The front desk attendant Santie met me after hours to give me my key. I really appreciated her going out her way to make sure I was able to check in despite arriving after the office was closed! She showed me to my room- the room was spacious, clean and VERY comfortable!! The next morning I went i to the office to officially check-in. Here i met the owner Rona...both Rona and Santie were the most hospitable, pleasant, and kind people! Rona offered to drop me off at the hospital where I was to see my daughter- this kind of service has NEVER been offered in the states! I stayed for a few days before falling I'll. The morning I felt the sickest (and scared in a foreign country) Santie drove me to the hospital where I was admitted for 7 days! During this time my family reached out to Lapalosa and they kindly packed my belongings and held them in their office until my daughter was able to pick them up. I am FOREVER grateful to both Santie and Rona!! There property was cozy, affordable, and above all BEAUTIFUL! I'd stay there a million times- please dont pass up this hidden gem of a lodge! The quality of the staff was top notc, and I will forever be grateful that I met two of the most wonderful people in my life...I wish there was 1000 stars to give!
