Len and his team were so welcoming and fun. Breakfasts were yummy. Dinner was really delicious - we ate there both nights. The garden is beautiful, views and sunsets amazing. Great place to stay. Rooiberg Lodge is 156 km from George Airport. The location was perfect and lovely accommodation. Excellent service and a wonderful spa treatment. Highly recommend! Excellent value for money. Good food and choice of wines.

It is located in a restored 18th-century building and features panoramic views of the Schoemanshoek Valley and Swartberg Mountain Range. Staff people were very friendly and went out of their way at all times to make sure we were happy. Food was very good-we tried ostrich. Walking through the olive groves was beautiful. For runners, it is an excellent place to stay as they have created a running path through the property.

He was incredibly communicative leading up to our stay and took extra care to arrange thoughtful gifts for a special birthday celebration, which was such a delightful surprise. The lodge itself was charming, comfortable, and perfectly maintained. Every detail of our stay exceeded our expectations, and it’s clear that Richard genuinely cares about his guests’ experience. We couldn’t recommend Duckpond Lodge more and will definitely be returning!
