Sabi Sand Game Reserve
Offering garden views, Langa Langa Safari Camp - Inc 2 Kruger Safaris Daily in Sabi Sand Game Reserve offers accommodation, an outdoor swimming pool, a garden, a shared lounge, a terrace and a bar. The lodge features both WiFi and private parking free of charge. Fantastic staff. The main caretaker, Kaley, is great when it comes to customer service. She made sure our stay was comfortable and even went out of the way to pack picnic sandwiches for us when we wanted to venture out on our own. The safari guide, Floid, is very knowledgeable, and if you stay for 2-3 days, he'll make sure you see every type of animal you had on your wish list. These guys include 1 complimentary safari per night of your stay (so if you stay for 3 nights, 3 safaris are inclusive), and I feel it's the best package because a couple of self drives in Kruger are a must do in my opinion, just for the thrill of it. The tents are quite comfortable and have all the amenities you'd expect in a luxurious hotel room. The AC works well (believe me, you NEED it if you visit in the summers like we did), the pool is clean, the bathrooms are great. The food was superlative - we had exotic 3 course complimentary dinners every single evening. I suggest booking a minimum of 3 days to really get the most out of Kruger.

Excellent staff - they advised us what routes we can take for the self-drive which helped us a lot.
We also had an amazing game drive with Louis. We had booked the safari package and that included one evening game drive in Manyeleti reserve.
Perfect location - The stay is just outside Kruger Orpen gate, was very easy to take a self-drive to Kruger in the morning
Balule Game Reserve
Featuring mountain views, Isambane Camp in Balule Game Reserve features accommodation, an outdoor swimming pool, a garden, a shared lounge, a terrace and a bar. The staff was so kind and welcoming, the house where I stayed had everything needed, the food was fantastic and safaris were really amazing, I saw so many animals! Thank you!

Kapama River Lodges offers a range of air-conditioned suites, all stylishly furnished and set against the backdrop of the Drakensberg Mountains. Each suite has a private bathroom fitted with a bath and shower and is complete with complimentary amenities, such as a minibar and coffee machine. All meals were fantastic. and hospitality was amaizing! We stayed there for our honeymoon, and a wonderful gift was kindly prepared in our room. On the game drive, we were able to go deeper into the area than when we drove on our own, and were able to see valuable scenes of animals, such as lions eating their prey, from a distance of about 3 meters. We recommend staying at least 2 nights if possible. Thank you to Kapama for providing such a wonderful time.

We absolutely recommend this place to everyone going to visit South Africa.
Greetings to Savanna!

Fantastic location, beautiful small scale lodge with ultra pleasant and friendly staff. The activities were fantastic, especially the morning game walks. Being escorted by two very knowledgeable Rangers, we felt safe in the bush and immensely enjoyed the walks and all that we saw and learned these days.
Grietjie Nature Reserve
Offering an outdoor pool and a veranda with views of the Northern Drakensbergs, Mbizi Bush Lodge is a small lodge nestled in the Grietjie Game Reserve. Free WiFi access is available,
Mbizi Bush Lodge serves a 3-course dinner and a full breakfast. Guests can relax on the terrace. Other facilities offered at the property include a shared lounge. The property offers free parking.
If there's a better way to experience the bush of the Kruger region than basing your stay at Mbizi Bush Lodge, I can't imagine what it is. Mbizi is located in the Grietjie reserve, a reserve contiguous with the Kruger park itself with no wildlife fence in between. It's a small, intimate lodge right in the middle of the bush with nothing to fence the wildlife out. You'll be as close to the wildlife as its sensible to get (and never closer than sensible). While we were there, Elephants came several times to drink their fill right out of the swimming pool. It was not just thrilling, but also pretty moving to be able to experience these awe inspiring animals so closely (yet safely).
The owners of the lodge, Bjorn and Divya, are perfect hosts and an incredible team.
Bjorn's game drives through Grietjie, early morning and late afternoon, are always an adventure. He has a sixth sense for finding wildlife and knows their behavior well enough to maneuver into the optimum position to observe them.
Divya, meanwhile, provides delicious home cooked breakfasts and gourmet dinners with a broad international range, a real Yotam Ottolenghi of the bush. She's also an excellent story teller with a great sense of humor. She makes everyone feel immediately like old family friends.
Lodging is in a set of rondavels a few hundred feet from the main dining and pool area. They provide a nice touch of luxury right in the bush, comfy beds, terrific showers, with the sounds of the veld right outside the door.
Kruger proper is only 45 minutes away, close to the north/south center of the long park, so it's extremely well placed to explore Kruger. But we found Grietjie itself to be just as beautiful, with just as much wildlife, so you can do a lot of driving, or a little, and still have a great, wild life packed, bush experience; all for an extremely reasonable price. I can't imagine the more expensive lodges are even a smidgen better.
Balule Game Reserve

Staff, food, game drives, all stuff was awesome
Grietjie Nature Reserve
The tented chalets situated within the main lodge area come with a deck and a seating area. Certain chalets are equipped with a bath, shower and free toiletries, while one chalet, known as chiDanga, is equipped with an en suite shower which opens onto the deck. We spent four nights at Muweti Bush Lodge, and it exceeded all our expectations. The accommodation is truly exceptional, with the entire staff being incredibly friendly and attentive. The rooms were well-maintained, clean, and comfortable. Muweti offers three lodges, ensuring a personalized and intimate experience. The food was outstanding, and we had the pleasure of dining together with other guests and our guides at one table -a wonderful way to share stories and connect. Each day featured two game drives, starting at 5:30 AM and 4:30 PM. Our guides, Hardus and Niel, were not only super friendly but also incredibly knowledgeable and passionate. Their expertise and enthusiasm turned every game drive into an extraordinary adventure. From the balcony and pool, we enjoyed stunning views of the savanna and were fortunate to spot a variety of animals visiting the nearby waterhole. A heartfelt thank you to Hardus and Niel for your exceptional guidance and for making our stay truly unforgettable. We can’t wait to return to Muweti Bush Lodge one day! Best regards, Lisa & Marius
Mica

There is also a communal lounge and bar area, as well as a fully-equipped, shared kitchen. The view outside room 5 was absolutely amazing. The tub as well as the large amount of space, absolutely great!

We had such a lovely time at Muweti. It is a small and intimate lodge with great staff. We really enjoyed the food and the personal touches. We loved to see the elephants from the watering hole and the guides taught us many interesting things about the bush and the wildlife. A real safari experience. We also enjoyed interacting with other guests. Thank you to the Muweti team!
this was our favorite out of the 3 lodges we stayed at in the greater Kruger area. staff was amazing. our guide Jeremy was truly incredible, he really clearly went above and beyond and cared so much about his job and this made our experience so much better. food was wonderful, a feast every day!! Rooms were nice & the views from the veranda were amazing. overall a magical experience because the people went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful.
Accomodation was very good, the canvas tree lodges are spacious, comfortable and secluded. The optional outdoor shower was wonderful! Hosts Lynn and Brian were lovely and full of information, I think they will be retiring soon so catch them while you can!
The lodge is really comfortable but the best part is the people who work there. The staff is really kind and they managed to give us the best experience, the food was great. It was our first Safari in a game reserve and we saw the big 5 and so much more. The guides are awesome, Sydwell and Vuyani! Thank you
The staff, the location, the lodges, the food:
This game lodge was exceptional!! I visited with my partner and parents and we loved every minute we spent there. Everything about it was fantastic, the food, staff, game drives! Wonder boy and Butter were fantastic on the game drives!!! Nothing but good things to say!!! Amazing rooms / showers too!!!
Probably the best place I've ever been. The attention to detail, the customer first approach and the respect of nature has been astonishing. Best safari experience of my life. Pondoro Game Lodge will always have a special place in my heart!
