Situated at the base of the wild Tsitsikamma Mountains, The Fernery overlooks an impressive 30-metre waterfall in the Sanddrift River gorge. The deck area boasts a cocktail bar and free WiFi is available throughout.

The spacious rooms and suites are individually decorated and filled with light. Some rooms have fireplaces and offer scenic views. The elegant bathrooms have floor heating and heated towel rails. Wow, what an amazing experience to stay at The Fernery. This is one of the places we will remember for a long time. The setting of the hotel was fantastic. The Jacuzzi and Hot Tub ambiance also fantastic. The breakfast by wide margin the best in South Africa. Dinner was also very good and fairly priced.

A barbecue is available on site and both fishing and canoeing can be enjoyed within close proximity of the lodge. The meals were delicious, gardens and views beautiful, peaceful, the cottage was adorable and we liked that we could go canoeing

Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium is 49 km from the lodge, while Uitenhage Railway Station is 46 km away. Chief Dawid Stuurman International Airport is 54 km from the property, and the property offers a paid airport shuttle service. All was good. Staff were very welcoming. Braai area is great with the Nyalas visiting.

Located 200 metres from Owl House Museum, Furrows Lodge offers an outdoor swimming pool, a garden and air-conditioned accommodation with a terrace and free WiFi.

Ever heard of Nieu-Bethesda, the owl house? We were very pleased to eventually visit Nieu-Bethesda, even more so when we arrived at Furrows Lodge. The room (outside) was spacious and well equipped. The setting is in and amongst trees, tranquil. Swimming pool and braai facilities are also available. Try "Die Waenhuis" Restaurant for a meal (part of Furrows Lodge). Everything is within walking distance. Highly recommended.

We loved everything about the property, the staff and of course, the game!! Peter and Ingrid were the perfect hosts and Beauty, Nina and Tamara were the perfect restaurant staff, with the very best food!! I

Situated in the Amakhala Game Reserve, Leeuwenbosch Shearers Lodge offers country-style accommodation and boasts an outdoor pool and terrace. Free WiFi is offered and free private parking is available on site.

Guests are able to arrange a late morning Day Safari directly with the property at an additional charge. Leeuwenbosch Shearers Lodge features extensive gardens with a chapel. Nice staff! Room was beautiful but could use an AC. Food was exceptional and the whole property was well taken care of. Game Drives (additional cost) were also great. Molly our Ranger was very welcoming and we had a great time.

Located in Addo, Charihandra Game Lodge features free WiFi throughout, air conditioning and private parking is available on-site. Guests can enjoy swimming at the outdoor pool.

Port Elizabeth is 35 km from Charihandra Game Lodge, whereas Addo is 19.4 km away. We liked our lodge and its setting. The afternoon game drive was great especially seeing the giraffes close up and feeding the lovely Lucy. A real treat. We only stayed for 1 night but the facilities were excellent, bar, restaurant, games room and small pool. It was also possible to walk around the area a bit.

Situated in Jeffreys Bay with easy access to the beach, Surf Lodge South Africa features a balcony with panoramic ocean view.

The lodge offers an outdoor pool and a hot tub. Guests can learn how to surf or get guiding lessons. This is one of my favorite places in South Africa. The position of this hotel, right on the best beach of Jeffreys Bay, allows visitors the luxury to walk barefoot (50 m) from their room to the Ocean. And what a spectacular sunrise from the balcony! The atmosphere at the Surf Lodge is very jolly and relaxed at the same time, and they offer plenty of activities for their visitors (surfing but not only that). Definitely not my last visit :-)
