Apart from the beautiful tent and view from the tent, we could see so many starts and the entire milkiway from our balcony, which was mesmerizing. Apart from all of that Mike is a very nice host and we had some good talks, he made us lovely dinner and breakfast and helped us if needed and provided recommendations and directions.

We stayed at Lodge for 3 nights at the end of November, chosing the "All Inclusive" package. It was the best adventure and the best place we stayed during our trip through South Africa. Leo, our tour guide, has showed, explained and I jetted into us the wholesome approach to safari. You could feel like a carefree child that went on adventure to discover. We wish every tour guide could show to its guests such an excepcional respect towards the animals. Leo transforms such kindness, that at the end of the day you feel extremely rewarded by seeing every little living on safari, inuding birds, elephants, monkeys - all living wild and free. In the breaks, we could learn so much by having just a casual conversation with him. We really felt like being invited to magnificent kingdom of the animals, without feeling like some random intruders. A beating heart of this place is Debbie: what an outstanding manger. You "don't see her, don't hear her", but she is there and she keeps and eye on everything, ensuring such a comfortable stay for the guests. Debbie just transmits calmness, kindness, warmth, and professionalism. It was a real pleasure know her. The amazing Crew of the Lodge gives you a total family vibe. They winked an eye at us every time they left us a nice surprise in the form of flower petals or chocolates. Everything from warm towels to wipe our hands, through tasty meals (delicious soups!), was full of kindness and joy of hosting us. From warm welcome to a family-like farewell (followed by messages to check our further progress on the road) - everything was such a beautiful sign of being human that I came back completely refreshed. Enjoy every second of staying at the Lodge. Go out on adventure. Admire the nature with the respect and curiosity of an explorer. Feel fresh air on your face. Eat boldly and healthily. The lodge offers game drives through Addo National Park, game walks on the property and guided sundowner walks. The peaceful location, the breathtaking view from the room (over the Zuurberg Mountains) and the friendly, personalised service. Camp Figtree is situated at 2km from the road, due to which you can enjoy total silence. The only sounds that you hear come from nature: birds, wildlife, … We were warmly welcomed by the General Manager, who received us with homemade Icetea. He showed us around the premises and brought us to the room. Camp Figtree also has a good restaurant with a terrace overviewing the mountains. The restaurant is very cosy. We sat next to an open fire and enjoyed our candlelight dinner. The food was very fresh and it tasted delicious! This morning, we also had a friendly encounter with the Lodge Manager. It was not a problem at all to stay a bit longer. He said we could even stay for lunch if we wanted. I will defintely stay here again on my next visit to South Africa!

Chrislin African Lodge is a peaceful site with outdoor lounge areas, gardens, and a citrus farm. Guests can enjoy South African recipes in onsite dining lapa.

Each spacious hut at Chrislin Lodge comes with private bathroom facilities, a fridge and a ceiling fan. Larger huts also come with air conditioning and a seating area. Beautiful gardens with a lovely pool area. The bed was very comfy and breakfast delicious.

The Lodge is situated on a private game reserve, which boasts over 17 species of wild game animals, including a large family of giraffes. Safaris and day trips can be arranged.

Valley Bushveld Country Lodge serves authentic South African cuisine. During cold winter evenings, guests can enjoy a drink in the lounge with a huge fireplace. Everything about this family run spot is excellent. This is not the type of place to just do one evening at. You need at least 2 or 3 nights to enjoy the grounds.

Situated on a secluded eco-reserve, Hitgeheim Country Lodge is an owner-managed lodge offering daily open safari vehicle drives into the Addo Elephant National Park where guests may experience viewing a variety of animal and elephants. Lovely and clean. All staff amazing and helpful. Great views. Really enjoyed our stay, would love to come back one day. Would recommend to anyone.
