The place is breathtaking and the staff are extremely generous. We were worried about transportation to and from town, but staff arranged this for us easily. Lin was the absolute best. She was so welcoming, kind, and helpful. She went above and beyond. We love you Lin!! The food and drinks they offered were also great!! We stayed here 2 nights and honestly wished we extended our stay. If you’re visiting Cat Ba Island, absolutely stay here.

Great hotel with clean rooms and a nice balcony. Cleaning service every day. Super friendly and helpful staff. We booked boat tour through them, rented scooters and got tips for hiking and climbing spots - all super helpful and great tips! Their pool on the top is lovely and clean. Can truly recommend this spot. The location is a bit further from the “main” streets but if you like it more quiet like we do - this is perfect! We walked to and from the city for dinners. It was very good value for the price.

Guests at the lodge can enjoy an à la carte or an Asian breakfast. We loved everything about our week-long stay at Lan Homestay. The location was perfect for us to explore the village on a scooter/motorbike (which they have available for rent). It's in a quiet neighborhood on a hill, which is located in hidden valley. The landscaping and grounds are beautiful with an abundance of flowering plants, and jackfruit trees that make the property feel like an eco-resort. The staff works tirelessly to keep everything in perfect condition - everyone seemed to be working around the clock. The included breakfast was very good — with a choice of a beverage and a choice of food and always served with a plate of fresh fruit. We also enjoyed a couple of other meals there and everything we ordered was delicious. Most of all our host, Mr. Chilly was everything you could ask for in a great host. He was super-friendly and assisted us with anything we needed from providing suggestions for things to do in Cat Ba to arranging travel for us back to our Hanoi . We would highly recommend Lan Homestay and will stay here again next time we come to Cat Ba.

The lodge offers a vegetarian or vegan breakfast. This was our favourite property of our three week stay in Vietnam. Such a special place, they grow all their own veg for the meals, they are relaxed, friendly and helpful. They have a super friendly small dog and a cat and kittens. It has a really homely feel. The bed and pillow was the most comfortable of our stays too and the facilities were excellent. Easy to rent a bike and get to the national park and town centre.
