The atmosphere is wonderful, in the middle of a forest, calmness, silence, beautiful starry nights, jungle sounds. The lodge has everything you need, well-equipped kitchen, comfortable bed, good wifi, everything is clean. It is very close, about a 20 minutes drive to Volcanoes National Park. I highly recommend to stay here if you visit Big Island. The hosts are so kind and helpful they really put their hearts and mind into this little lodge. Location: 5 min drive to the entrance of the Volcano park..( we were so lucky to catch an eruption ! ) Short drive to store. Hardly any restaurants ,Kilauea Lodge, a Thai restaurant and Volcano Lodge that is about it! Room: Very nice comfy, clean, microwave, coffee machine, small fridge. We brought our breakfast with us. Decor particularly in the bathroom is quirky ,large shower nice soft towels, toiletries, hairdryer.
