A very nice hotel offering good facilities and access to a private beach. The whole place promotes a relaxing and unrushed stay... Tamed squirrels are hopping around alongside with iguanas of various colours and sizes... super tropical and feels close to nature. The staff, particularly Jonathan, were very helpful and friendly. There's plenty of local knowledge and recommendations; I rented a push bike and had a tyre puncture (rental car) fixed on Jonathan's recommendation. Aside from all the practicalities, Bay Harbour Lodge is a little beach paradise, which is priceless.

I liked that cabin 8 was pet friendly. Also there weren’t many steps, the kitchen had all the utensils, pots and pans, dishes and coffee pot. It was very clean. I liked our picnic table and grill. Very relaxing trip.

The treehouse is a gem located in the middle of the nature of Homosassa River. We loved the Treehouse with it’s wooden equipped walls, spacious bathroom (with 2 sinks), cozy sofa and spacious veranda with grill. We sat ouside every evening barbecuing and watching the Spanish moss moving in the wind, which was very relaxing. We kayaked the Homosassa River to the Wildlife State Park (right side) and back, which was a very nice half day tour. We saw Monkey Island, many turtles and even a dolphin (!) hunting fish! We also enjoyed the 9am boat tour at River Safari with Susan.

Located in Key West, Florida, this lodge features an outdoor pool and a tennis court. It is 10 minutes’ drive from Key West International Airport. Very large rooms. Clean. A bit farther from the street, so no noise. Beautiful sea view from the window, though it might have looked more like a lake. The pool, although not heated according to staff, had fairly warm water, and it was nice to spend time there. 20-minute drive to Key West, which offers plenty of attractions. Free coffee service available. A restaurant with tasty food just 2-3 minutes on foot but only for dinner.
