The lodge features a terrace. The host is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious and clean. The shower pressure was good. They changed our mattress during our stay which was going to be my only criticism. The pool was a welcome retreat after a hot day exploring. Breakfast was generous.

Joyce and staff were exceptional hosts and couldn't do enough to ensure our stay was enjoyable. Matemwe Beach is tidal (kids loved the pool at these times) and much quieter than other more touristy beaches, and was just what we were after.

Some rooms have a private swimming pool. Truly beautiful, peaceful and relaxing. Wonderful and welcoming staff. Comfortable beds, delicious food, very clean with everything you need to enjoy what is truly a slice of heaven.

The upper floor beach front bungalows are like staying in a treehouse on the beach. The bed is huge and super comfortable. The balcony overlooking the beach has a daybed, table and a chair. You can walk straight on to the beach. Monkeys jump around in the trees directly outside the balcony. The food is amazing, and an incredible breakfast is included in the price. The beach, although wild and windy when we were there end July/beginning of August is stunning. Absolutely perfect!

I have been to many accommodations in Zanzibar, but this one was truly the most special experience for me. The peace and positive vibes I experienced there brought back 5 years of my life. The house is in a wonderful location, surrounded by dense vegetation, so you will feel a healing peace there during your entire stay. The bungalows are spacious and perfectly clean, the beds are large and comfortable, the view is stunning. The food deserves a Michelin star, the offer is varied, the ingredients are fresh every day, the portions are very generous, certainly above the price. The owner and all the staff are very accommodating, kind and ready to dedicate themselves to each guest to make them feel at home. My special thanks go to the hostess Suzy , whose helpfulness and kindness go beyond the limit and who made our stay even more beautiful. If you are planning to visit Zanzibar, do not make the mistake of not visiting this special piece of paradise. Thank you all, even though we left, a piece of my heart remained there 💓
