The lodge features both WiFi and private parking free of charge. The location was great it's situated 5 minutes from the ski resort and near the beginning of the hiking trail to Retezat Peak. Staff were very kind with us, always asking how are we feeling and we highly recommend their food. After meals they always ask each customer how was their meal. We came mainly for remote work and both Wifi and 4G Signal were good (we have Vodafone provider, although I heard that Orange connection could be bad). Wifi signal works in the terrace outside. Overall great experience and highly recommend the cabin.

The hotel has a mountain hut vibe, great atmosphere, made of wood, furnished accordingly. We liked it a lot. Great value for the price. It is a family run business, and they are very great hosts. Polite, helping, bringing us some homemade liquor to try out, speaking good English, etc. You can order for a very reasonable price dinner and breakfast as well, which is prepared by the family. Homemade taste, local ingredients, big portions. Wonderful. You have a big plate with all the goods for breakfast and a typical Romanian dish plus a dessert for dinner. The beds were comfortable, and everything was sparkling clean. The terrace has possibilities to just chill and relax. There was even a local dog and animals around adding to the vibe. A fireplace outside, also a small playground for the children. Set in nature, close for hikes in Retezat. For sure, I would love to come back. Thanks for everything.

The property is close to the beautiful Retezat national park and valley of the city of Hateg.

The place is very clean, there is a shared kitchen very well equipped and a shared living room with the coolest fireplace ever. The location has a cool industrial look. We spent 2 nights so during the day we hiked the nearby peaks and during the night we gawked our eyes at the night sky for meteors because of the Perseids. Because of the short stay we couldn't take advantage of all the activities that are possible (ATV's, hot tub, paragliding) but we plan to on our next stay. Thank you Sam for making us feel like old friends.

The lodge offers a barbecue. it was a bit hard to find the location as Google shows the address in the wrong location in the village, and we needed to ask someone, but it is at the edge of the village near the castle. The hosts are super friendly and showed us around and explained where we can go to see the view They are also operating the nearby restaurant, and the food was excellent

Everything was super clean, we found everything we needed, towels, soap, shampoo and stuff for cooking, oil, spices, tea, coffee.
