The hosts are amazing! The guacamole they served when we arrived was a highlight. The beds are extremely comfortable, and the views from the rooms were a delight. Even had our own balcony off our bedroom.

Llahuar Lodge is located along the trekking circuit of the Colca Canyon in Arequipa, approximately a 5-hour walk from the town of Cabanaconde, right at the union of the Colca and Huaruro rivers. The team welcomed us very warmly. We told them that our hiking shoes broke completely beyond repair during the hike to Llahuar and the owner was very committed in helping us - he made it possible that our larger backpack that we stored in Cabanaconde was brought to the lodge so we can retrieve other shoes for the resting hiking days. Beautiful place, good food, welcoming vibe!
