The staff are incredibly welcoming, with the biggest hearts, and they truly make you feel at home. Their warmth and hospitality added so much to the experience. The lodge is next to the Cordillera Escalera conservation area and, for that reason, some of the Bosque Guardian Association’s main goals are to protect the environment through reforestation, educational activities, and wildlife monitoring. The lodge was very secluded and perfect for being in nature and relaxing. The view from the Mountain View lodge was stunning. The bed was very comfortable. The room had everything we needed. The staff were wonderful and very accommodating. We really enjoyed the activities. We would absolutely recommend this lodge for some peaceful time in nature.

Lots of nice short trails around for exploring, beautiful view of the river lots of nice sights and sound of la serva in a relatively luxurious setting. The pool was perfect for our kids and there’s a natural pool fed by water flowing down from the mountain just a few minutes’ walk away. The included breakfast buffet had a lot of nice local food: Juanes, tamales, plantains, herbal teas and jams etc. and very good scrambled eggs(not always easy on a buffet) ask for the hot sauce criolla(?) Also loved the cold fresh coconuts as a poolside drink. Other meals are not included but the prices are decent and the food is all good. The staff was really friendly and helpful with any requests They have monkeys that visit! (Tamarins)
