Wilson and Lisbeth are such kind people and wonderful hosts along with their beautiful kids and friendly dog! They shared their home, food and community with us and even went out of their way to make us feel special on our honeymoon. The rooms are big, comfortable and have stunning views of the lake. The beds were warm and they even supplied hot water bottles every night. A perfect and memorable way to end our trip in such a beautiful and peaceful location. Thank you Wilson and Lisbeth!

We stayed in the all-glass dome (the first of three domes) and had a fantastic experience.
**Pickup and Check-in:** Despite some miscommunication through WhatsApp due to a language barrier, the pickup was on time and smooth. The boat ride to the dome took about 20 minutes.
**Lunch:** Since we arrived at the lodge before lunch, Renzo was very accommodating and took us to a restaurant in the Uros community where we had the best grilled fish ever.
**Uros Community Tour:** Renzo stayed with us throughout the Uros community tour, showing us a small museum of the Uros history, how the floating island was built, and how to cook on the island. We really wanted to ride the traditional boats, and even though Renzo doesn't have those at his lodge, he was very accommodating, calling around until he secured one for us. We also tried traditional Uros clothes at the Uros community.
**Dinner:** We had dinner in our dome, which included soup, a main course, and dessert for 30 soles—a very reasonable price.
**The Dome:** The dome we stayed in was comfortable, spacious, and stylish. The only caveat was that it was really cold at night. Plenty of blankets were provided, so the bed was warm enough, and a propane heater ran throughout the night. However, with temperatures dropping to -4 degrees on the night we stayed there, the heater had minimal effect. Hot water was slow to come, but I believe this applies to other lodges as well. The night sky was a great highlight for us; we've never seen so many stars.
**Breakfast:** Breakfast included eggs, baked goods, juice, cheese, and ham. It was plentiful, more than enough to feed three people.
**Check-out:** Check-out was very smooth. The lodge accepts credit cards, and Renzo can help you get a taxi at the port in case you need one.
**Overall:** We can't recommend Renzo and his lodge enough. It was a great highlight of our trip to Peru, and we look forward to coming back in the future.

This intimate, welcoming lodge is the passion project of Don Mario and Mama Lea, both born and raised right here in the Uros community. They sustain their small floating island by harvesting reeds from the lake and by running this remarkable B&B with care, pride, and generosity.
Mornings are magical. Sunrise over the lake is exquisite, the water often perfectly still, and the birdlife abundant. We found ourselves slowing down completely — reading books, braving the cold lake waters during the warmest part of the day, and playing cards together in the cozy dining hut. The peace here is profound.
Don Mario offers a two-hour boat tour through the village, guiding guests through the reed beds while explaining how generations of Uros have used these reeds to cook, build, and navigate the lake they hold sacred. It was deeply moving and fascinating to learn about a way of life that feels both ancient and fragile, yet still very much alive.
Both Mario and Lea are also gifted artisans. Don Mario creates drawings that beautifully capture the lake and its culture, while Mama Lea transforms these designs into pillow covers, table runners, and wall hangings that are truly lovely and meaningful keepsakes.
A few practical notes: the showers are gravity-fed and solar-heated, which means lower water pressure and the hottest water in the late afternoon. The midday sun is intense, so wide-brimmed hats and sunscreen are essential.
Finally, a word about Uros itself. Before arriving, I read many reviews dismissing the islands as a tourist trap rather than a genuine community. While tourism clearly plays an important role in the local economy, it is equally clear that this is a real, living community with deep roots. The Uros have existed here for countless generations, passing down knowledge, skills, and craftsmanship. They are skilled fishermen and masters of using reeds for nearly everything imaginable.

Dinner and breakfast were brought to my room and were very good. The bed was very comfortable and warm. The owners were very attentive; they also brought me a hot water bottle as it gets very cold at night. The room was well-equipped and clean, and the view was magnificent. I was able to watch the sunset over the lake from the terrace of my lodge. Alos, it is possible to pay by card (with a small additional fee), which is very convenient. The owners picked me up by boat and dropped me off the next day by boat as well.
Beautiful stay on the Titicaca shore with agruculure expireneces included in price! The room was very clean and lovely, with lake view. Good internet, hot water ( that's not so obvious in Peru). Very teasty breakfast. Next to the lodge there are animals like lama and donkey that you can interact with. The owner took as to dig out some patatos with help of lama, what was great. We also had a little excursion on the tradicional boat with the owner. The owner also has a selecion of colorful tradicional clothes that you can try on :)
Incredible location and located a bit further out than other similar lodges on the Uros islands so it was very peaceful. The scenery is just stunning. Our room was of an excellent standard with a very comfy king size bed. We also enjoyed sitting out on our porch, watching the sunset was really special. Eduardo and family were so helpful and friendly and the food provided was delicious. We stayed only one night but would recommend two nights if you have time.
Super friendly owner, reasonable price for everything, amazing lodges
Very immersive and wonderful experience. Uros lodges are located far from touristic rush of Puno and we had a great opportunity to see the daily life of Miguel and his family - they were all very nice, friendly and very helpful. Also, they provided us with great food, took us fishing, gave us sorojchi pills when we did not feel great because of high altitude and much much more. Highly recommend to everyone!
