All you need to do is arrive and he will advice and assist you with all of your plans from taxis to tours. We arrived at 2pm and were able to join the 4.30pm sunset tour on the very first day. All of the main tours are easily organised by Emmanuel and some of these pick you up by boat from the property. Food was fantastic. Villa was very clean and comfortable and right on the Tambopata river. We loved our time at Sunrise of Tambopata!

Nothing is too much for the staff and they will help you in any way they can. The lodge is great for bird watching, the many excursions on offer are really worth doing, the Lake Sandoval was our favourite.

Altogether the best experience we could have had in the Amazon. Not cheap but this was a once in a lifetime experience and worth every penny. Slept better here than ever before.

The lodge features both WiFi and private parking free of charge. Excellent location right on the Rio Tambopata. All meals and numerous activities included. Located right next to the Amazon Shelter for Animal and Environmental Protection, which you can visit for a small donation and receive a guided tour. Very friendly and family-like atmosphere. The lodge offers an outdoor pool. We loved a few days of relaxing by the pool in a little slice of paradise. The staff were exceptionally accommodating, the food was delicious and the scenery was beautiful.

An outdoor swimming pool with views of the river can be enjoyed in Wasai Puerto Maldonado Eco Lodge, 100 meters from the Main Square. Canoe trips can be booked and all rooms feature views of the river. There is free WiFi in public areas. Absolutely amazing stay! I didn’t want to stay deep in the jungle, but this hotel was the perfect balance — it still gave you that lush, jungle feeling while being conveniently located in town. We booked a room in the newer block with AC, and the view was just incredible — truly breathtaking! The hotel also has a lovely restaurant with a great breakfast and good food overall. I would definitely stay here again!
