We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Spirit of the River Lodge! Nestled by the river, the lodge boasts incredible room designs and breathtaking window views that make you feel one with nature. A huge thank you to Rodi and Claudia for making our experience so unforgettable. Their warmth and hospitality made us feel right at home. Rodi’s tour of the Inca sites was nothing short of extraordinary—his passion and knowledge brought the history and spirit of the area to life. If you can, ask him to be your guide; you’ll gain so much insight and connection to the Sacred Valley! Claudia’s cooking was equally remarkable—each meal was a masterpiece filled with love and flavor. And, of course, we can’t forget Tupac, their adorable and friendly llama. Hugging him was such a unique and heartwarming experience! The lodge is a perfect blend of comfort, charm, and cultural immersion. To top it off, Rodi is beginning to organize Inca Trail tours with a big focus on ensuring porters are treated with the utmost care and respect. If you’re looking to explore one of the most unique places on Earth while supporting ethical practices, this is the place to start. We couldn’t recommend Spirit of the River Lodge more highly. Situated in Ollantaytambo, Vertical Sky Suites offers accommodation with seating area. An American breakfast is available daily at the property. We were a family of 5 (2 adults and 3 teens/teenagers), we booked 2 of the pendant domes. They picked us up in Ollantaytambo, and took us on a quad ride to their reception (the kids said quad ride was a blast!). We were welcomed with soft blanket and tea by the heater. We needed to have at least 1 adult in each pod; the boys were with my husband, and they had to wear harness to climb to their pod. The jacuzzi was amazing, and when we woke up in the morning - the view....You have to see it for yourself. Everyone should experience it at least once in a lifetime.

The guides were fantastic — professional, patient, and made us feel completely safe the whole time. Everything was well organized and clearly explained. + At the top, you’re rewarded with breathtaking views and a cozy communal lodge where a delicious multi-course dinner (with wine and dessert!) is served. Watching the sunset over the Sacred Valley was absolutely magical. + The sleeping pods were super comfortable and well equipped — warm blankets, water, and even a thermos with hot water. At night, you can sit outside wrapped in a blanket and stargaze — an unforgettable moment. + In the morning, we enjoyed another great meal for breakfast before ziplining down — the perfect ending to an already epic adventure. We were lucky to have an amazing team — Diego, Irbin, and Fabian — who made the whole experience even more special with their positivity and support!

The balcony has a great view over the Pisac ruins. The bedroom was beautifully furnished and comfortable, which meant for a relaxing stay. It's a shame we could only stay one night! Though it is located a little out of the main centre of Pisac, I would say this is a good thing - there are collectivos and taxis which can take you down into the town and back.

The location, and property itself are stunning. The views from the large windows are to the mountains and the interior is finished to a modern and very high standard. Very tranquil all in all. Although the property is located out of town, Vanesa was happy to give us a lift when required. Breakfast was to an excellent standard providing a selection of good food which set us up for the day.

Lovely property with a beautiful view of the mountains all around. It's location is a little tricky, but once you're there, everything is perfect! The hosts were very friendly and helpful, the rooms are very comfortable and spacious, big bathroom with constant hot water supply, and even the breakfast was great. I would highly recommend this lovely place. I'm definitely coming back!
