We loved the view, the eco aspect, and kayaking through the mangroves. Thank you also to the hosts for being so helpful as Bocas takes a bit of know-how for a first-timer - they helped us book tours and water taxis. From the moment we arrived, he made us feel at home with his kindness, warmth, and attention to detail. The cabins are brand new, spotless, and thoughtfully equipped—sharp knives, quality cookware, a coffee machine, and even reusable water bottles to help reduce waste. The bed is incredibly comfortable, and the outdoor living space is perfect for relaxing. We loved being surrounded by nature—waking up to the sounds of monkeys, spotting sloths in the trees, and seeing toucans and flying toads right outside our window. The beach is stunning, and David even provided beach mats and bags to make our days by the ocean even better. He went above and beyond, offering to bring us groceries from town and sharing great conversations over a beer, making us feel like old friends.

Maxxi and Jane were such great hosts. Jungle Paunch is a fantastic place to stay, and I would absolutely come back to this place. It's right down the road from the ocean and within walking distance to a few restaurants. The howler monkeys are loud in the morning, but it's exciting to be able to stay in nature and experience it so closely. Overall, you are instantly relaxed when you arrive at Jungle Paunch.
