Excellent position with lovely views. Great communal fascilities with delicious continental breakfast served daily, including home produced fresh eggs. Very, very friendly atmosphere all round both from the owners and the other guests. Also within touching distance of the Abel Tasman National Park, 20 minute drive to the boats taking you into the park. Lovely garden with very good supply of herbs if you’re cooking at all. Excellent cooking fascilities available in the communal kitchen.

Its an absolut beautiful place! Very peacefull and nice to calm and slow down for a bit.
You can watch the stars from your bed, witch is wonderful and kind of magical.
The room has a lot of space and is very cleen. The light is great and just adds to the calm atmosphere.
The Owners are very nice. I got a free room-upgrade which was greatly appriciated!
I had a great time there and would say it was the best place I have stayed in!

It was quiet, and very comfortable.
The lodge is situated in a beautiful country setting with an abundance of fruit and ornamental trees surrounding itt. Reasonably close to the township but worlds away in a rural area.
The breakfast was exceptional, far exceeding what you might expect. Fresh milk and fruit and bakery delights.

Filip and Sonya were fabulous hosts-very hospitable and generous with information and recommendations. The shuttle service to Abel Tasman made a day tramping in the park seamless. We enjoyed the accommodations so much we were lucky enough to be able to extend our stay by one day. Pōhara is an excellent location for visiting the Golden Bay and I can’t recommend the Bay Lodge highly enough.

The perfect Lodge for couples or families. It is very close to the Abel Tasman Park and from there everything is in walking distance (small convenience store, two restaurants, beach).
The Check-In and Check-Out was very fast and easy and the owner are sooo nice!! They have everything ready to explain to visitors where they can go and see much within the surroundings.
Laundry room and kitchen is possible to use and they even have a whirl pool which can be used :-)
All in all we would recommend it staying at this Lodge!

The manager was exceptionally helpful recommending things to do - all of which we thoroughly enjoyed . We had dinner there the three nights we stayed and the food was delicious and service exemplary . Breakfast was great, the room had everything we needed . Highly recommend Ratanui Lodge

Lovely stay, you get the country feel yet close to town. Friendly and accommodating host. Clean modern rooms with beautiful views and a spacious kitchen. Wonderful outdoor spaces to have breakfast or watch the sunset. We had the house to ourselves and even got a room upgrade. We warmly recommend this lodge!
