Shipwreck Bay Beach is 1.2 km from the lodge. Everything! Our host was warm and welcoming from the moment we arrived. The guest house was immaculately clean in all aspects. The kitchen facility was well stocked with everything necessary and the large outside dining table was perfect for dining and socializing with other guests at the same time. We would definitely stay again. And the sound of the surf at night was a welcome bonus!!

Given the heat during our travel to get to Mangonui, the stay was healing and discreetly private (we were'nt isolated) We were within close proximity to our extended whanau too which was a plus. I would always come back, can definitely recommend.

A continental breakfast is available at the lodge. The views were sensational and the apartment was fabulous! We were extremely lucky to get fresh baked bread the first morning and the second morning we got home made crossaints. Both mornings we had fresh fruit, yoghurt and condiments. Such an awesome place to end our Honeymoon and 3.5 week trip around New Zealand.
