A terrace is available on site and both canoeing and cycling can be enjoyed within close proximity of the lodge. A little piece of heaven. After a month travelling it was just what i needed. Cosy cottage was quiet and had a deck where i could do my yoga in private. The bed was so comfortable I slept like a baby for 3 nights. The kitchen was basic but enough to cook a simple meal. A hot shower and clean bathroom. Rested ready for my next bit of travel.

The lodge provides guests with a terrace, city views, a seating area, satellite flat-screen TV, a fully equipped kitchen with a fridge and an oven, and a private bathroom with shower and free toiletries. A microwave, a stovetop and toaster are also offered, as well as a coffee machine and a kettle. Just an incredible place - 'cabin' is understating it. The views across to Auckalnd and Rangitoto alone are worth the price, but it's the little touches that make this place special: all the fittings are metal where possible, the finishing is exceptional, and the wine is from across the road. It gave our stay a feeling of luxury and care that was beyond the price. It was also probably the best bed we've ever had - it shaped itself to us in a way neither of us had experienced before.

A garden is featured. Clean rooms, comfortable stay. Louis was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend!

The lodge offers a barbecue. Our hosts David & Sue were very friendly and helpful. We requested dinner for the evening which was a lovely home cooked meal. We had a great time that evening, enjoying their company. Breakfast was lovely. Must also mention Ash the dog who loves to walk with you.
