It's an elegant and refined choice with a personal touch thats not found in large hotels. The breakfast was perfect, fresh, quality, beautifully cooked, stunningly presented and the coffee is also great. The location is lovely, quiet, relaxing and picture perfect.

Hiking, skiing and fishing are possible within the area, and the lodge offers ski storage space. We loved our stay at the Quarters. It was so clean and comfortable! The communal kitchen was also clean and well equipped. We also enjoyed relaxing in the outdoor area.. The location beside the river trail was great. It was easy to walk into town as well. It was also convenient for getting to and from the Tongariro Crossing hike. We would highly recommend The Quarters to other travellers.

Tongariro Lodge is located in 22 acres of secluded grounds, surrounded by a beautiful garden landscape and along the banks of Tongariro River.

Tongariro Lodge Restaurant specializes in traditional New Zealand dishes, guests enjoy meals by an open fire. A cosy place to stay. Near the Tongariro river and surrounded by birds singing. We had an excellent time to relax there. I also highly recommend the restaurant. The meat was perfect, and the cheesecake was exceptional. We will return.
