The lodge offers a seating area with a flat-screen TV and a private bathroom with free toiletries, a hairdryer and shower. A fridge is also offered, as well as a coffee machine and a kettle. The room was airy with two separate sliding doors giving access to the garden and decks with tables and chairs for dining outdoors. The room got the morning sun. The bathroom was spacious, and two glass walls of the shower opened right up. The breakfast was laid out for the guests from 8 to 9am, and included mostly breads and sugary things and dairy, which is typical for European breakfasts. I don't eat sugar or dairy, but managed to find enough: boiled eggs, fresh fruit and cold cuts.

Lake Tekapo is 55 km from the lodge, while Glentanner is 41 km away. What I liked: The room was very spacious, the bed extremely comfortable, and the location was both ideal and original. Everything is very well looked after. The hosts were very helpful, and I really appreciated the easy access to the outside at night directly from the room to enjoy stargazing.

The property is beautifully situated with decking to take advantage of the amazing views over Lyttelton harbour. Everything we could need was laid on. Excellent value for money and probably the best place we have stayed in NZ

There is also a kitchen in some of the units equipped with a fridge, a dishwasher, and an oven. Beautiful lodge. Hayley greeted us with warmth and enthusiasm (as well as wine and cheese tray) Well equipped kitchen we were able to cook our meals there and enjoy the entire house.

Dobson, and guests benefit from on-site private parking and complimentary WiFi. Beautiful location. Annette and Michael were outstanding hosts. Everything was if a high standard. The complimentary home made chocolate was delicious. Nothing was too much trouble.

Located in Kekerengu in the Canterbury region, Coastal Lodge Kekerengu provides accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking.

Some units are air conditioned and include a terrace and/or a balcony, as well as a seating area. Despite claiming only a shared bathroom, our suite had a private bathroom, including shower. I'm not sure if the others did. Lodge has a well equipped full kitchen and good wifi.

Situated in Kurow, Waitaki Braids features free WiFi, and guests can enjoy a terrace, a restaurant and a bar.

There is a fully equipped private bathroom with shower and a hairdryer.

The lodge offers a children's playground. I was able to park my trike underneath the overhang to keep it out of the rain. Dinner was great.
