For people interested in birds, the river cruise along the Zambezi River is highly recommended.

The lodge also has an outdoor swimming pool, a bar, and laundry facilities. Of all the lodges we stayed at in Namibia, Ralf’s Lodge @Ndhovu was hands-down, and by far the best, most authentic, most hospitable, biggest bang for the buck! What makes a huge difference as we’ve discovered with all of our lodges, are those that are owner occupied, always give you much better service, and that is what you will find here! Also, the fact that they have two offerings waterside in essentially house, booths, are the only ones on the Kavango River that offered this amenity. We were in River side one, an outside our deck on the water, was a bloat of hippos numbering probably a couple dozen! What a joy, and treat watching this bloat frolic in the water and do their thing until 10 AM more or less, when they headed to the opposite side of the river, to graze and sunbathe, always returning an hour or so before dusk, to entertain us once again! The vibe is very relaxed at this camp, which makes a huge difference. It’s easy to mingle with other guests, make friends, enjoy Rolf’s staff, and his company, especially the fire pit after dinner each night!

Providing river views, Zambezi Mubala Lodge in Katima Mulilo provides accommodation, an outdoor swimming pool, a terrace, a restaurant and a bar. The lodge features both WiFi and private parking free of charge. This was a PHENOMENAL experience!! The property is located on the banks of the Zambezi River in a spectacular and remote location. We had to get to the property by 30-minute boat ride down an incredibly beautiful segment of the river. The property is eco-oriented and the chalets are all river facing and beautifully anointed. The staff are wonderful and the food was fabulous. The sundowner was very much worthwhile. This is a place for birders and for those who are interested in seeing the Carmine bee eaters (but on ly for a very short window).

Good location as not too much off road driving to get there. Game drive and boat safari were very pleasant. Lots of hippos. Rooms all newly and beautifully refurbished and a good size

We spent 2 wonderful days at Water Villas, liked everything, the delicious food, the extremely friendly staff, especially Kelvin, the captain on the boat, Joy, the lady, who explained us what we should order for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and Josephine, who were with us on our two boat tours and always had a smile in her face. We were the only guests, felt like kings in France in this wonderful calm and peaceful landscape on the Namibian side of Chobe river and enjoyed really each second. Sorry, Joel, somedays we will come back ….
