Staying here is a highlight of my month trip in Sri Lanka. I wanted to go to a better Yala National Park entrance than the crowded one handling people coming from Kataragama and Tissamaharama. With less crowding and a good guide, this helps minimize impact to animals on safaris. The villa is new and only had a couple reviews, but I decided to take a chance because they are the only reasonably priced stay I saw in the area and because they are near my prefered Yala entrance gate. I wasn't disappointed when I arrived since the place was comfortable with a good mattress, working A/C, it's a stand-alone unit, and had a relaxing vine-canopy shaded porch. The room itself is basic but has everything you need. Prasad and his family were amazing. They helped me get a new Sim card when mine broke and provided me with the best breakfasts, fresh juices, snacks, and conversations. I thoroughly enjoyed my three nights here!!

I am very glad I have found this place. The owner is a warm hearted man that not even introduced me to his family and invited me to their home but has also been very helpful with organizing my trip. He even brought me to the bus and sightseeing spots without expecting tip. The hotel itself is beautiful and lies directly next to a nice river where you can go swimming. I had the best dinner here. The garden is charming! Cannot recommend this place enough!

your room is its own out building with a lovely big bed and en-suite. All toiletries are provided in the bathroom, and you have a lovely terrace outside with sun loungers to enjoy the peace and quite. the staff are amazing and do everything they can for you. they provided us with taxi service by collecting us from Ella, and then dropping us to Hikkaduwa after the safari day for very good rates. the safari was amazing, and we saw all the animals possible in Yala including Sloth bears and Leopards. 10/10 would recommend

My stay at the Glima Eco Lodge was an amazing choice and I wished I could spent more time here. Roshani and her husband are such an inspiring and lovely couple. They treat you like you re a part of their family and serve you one of the best food I ever had in my LIFE! The Eco Lodge is so beautiful, it’s very clean and so cozy. The lake is infront of you and you can hear beautiful sounds of birds. The fireplace and the environment is so relaxing and you have the space only for you! This place is the definition of a getaway. truly remote. Never thought I'd experience this side of Sri Lanka on this holiday. Very nature based, local food, got to speak to the people in the villages on how they cultivate their crops, went on a very scenic bike ride with friends in the evening with the best views. The RIVER! wow loved every bit of it. We spent around 3 hours here and had a final dip before leaving the next day too. The water flowing over the shoulders felt like a free spa treatment.
