Both breakfast and dinner were delicious and freshly prepared, making our stay very comfortable. A special mention goes to Mr. Lasantha, who gave us massive support throughout our stay. His warm hospitality, attention to detail, and genuine care made a big difference. Furthermore, he arranges Sri Lankan cooking lessons for foreign guests, which is a wonderful initiative to share our food and culture with the world. What impressed us most is that all of this is offered at an affordable price, and the team works tirelessly 24/7 to give their very best to guests. Overall, Rock Shade Chalet is a perfect place for a peaceful family getaway, and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Sigiriya.

His care and dedication made all the difference. The room was nice, spotless and had everything I needed, offering both comfort and practicality. Breakfast was a daily delight, with homemade local dishes that were not only delicious but also varied and thoughtfully prepared. The garden was a peaceful oasis, full of life with birds enjoying fruits – such a calm and relaxing scenery. And the view of Lion Rock? Simply beautiful with the rice fields around. I couldn’t have asked for a better stay – everything was perfect, and I wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone!

The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Upon arrival, I was warmly welcomed with a bottle of water and a refreshing drink, a thoughtful touch that I really appreciated. The guest house is family-run, and you can feel the warmth and care they put into making guests feel at home. All the family was very kind, polite, and incredibly helpful. They organized a tour for me to Pollonnaruwa at a very reasonable price, much more affordable than other options I found around. Breakfast was another highlight: plentiful, homemade, and prepared with fresh ingredients, I really enjoyed it! The Wi-Fi worked perfectly, and if you need a tuk-tuk or any other assistance, they are always ready to help with a smile. Overall, it’s a charming and welcoming place with excellent service. Highly recommended!

He drove us to all places and cooked us with his wife delicious dinners at unbeatable prices. The breakfasts were also amazing. His place is nice and quiet, well located and the swimming is a great addition. Definitely recommended for a great experience in Sigiriya
