We stayed in a beautifully designed, cozy room (everything inside was chosen with care and filled with comfort) The atmosphere at Emboo is magical: peaceful nature, evenings around the fire on soft poufs under the stars, delicious meals, and a deep connection to the nature. We would especially like to thank: Felix, our safari guide — calm, deeply experienced, and one of the best in his field. He made every game drive feel personal and insightful. Tobin, the photographer, full of passion and soul. Every photo he took captured something deeper than just an image. Rhoda, who looked after us during every breakfast, lunch, and dinner with incredible kindness and attention. And Pedro, who always brought a smile, kindness, and genuine care. he made us feel truly welcomed. The little things made, like hot water bottles waiting in our room at night and even placed in the safari jeep for those chilly early drives. These thoughtful touches left a lasting impression. The entire team at Emboo is united by true hospitality, care for nature, and love for what they do. We’re already home, but our hearts are still with you at Emboo. Luckily I had the property to myself and was able to spend most of my time in the bush. The staff were awesome especially the safari guide.

Special thanks to Newton, whose attentive and friendly approach truly elevated our experience—his hospitality left a lasting impression! The food was absolutely delicious, with each meal perfectly prepared and presented. From hearty breakfasts to exquisite dinners under the stars, the culinary experience rivaled the best we’ve had anywhere. The camp’s environment added a thrilling layer to our adventure. With baboons and hyenas occasionally strolling through the area, it felt like we were genuinely immersed in the wild—exciting, safe, and surreal all at once. The accommodation was both comfortable and authentic, blending rustic charm with all the amenities one could hope for in a luxury safari camp. In short, Drunken Elephant Mara delivered an unforgettable slice of wilderness wrapped in comfort and care. Highly recommended for anyone seeking an adventurous yet refined escape.

Mara River Camp is located on the North West boundary of the Maasai Mara National Reserve overlooking the Mara River. It features a swimming pool and garden. The staff at the camp are great and very responsive to any need of your including food drinks and medication when we needed it! The Manager Eziekel, Aliche at the head office were outstanding in helping us make multiple changes to our Itinerary! The food was top class Indian and continental cuisine, the tents were comfortable with a hot pressure shower in the mornings and evenings an invaluable luxury in the bush!

Right in the heart of Mara reserve. View of river is lovely. Not all rooms have view but lodge view is top. Hippos and crocodiles in river. Great sounds at night. Lovely location for exploring Mara. Staff was amazing. Great food and so nice. Hope I return one day
