Guests at the lodge can enjoy a continental breakfast. Nice and clean. Akira san the owner himself greeted me upon my arrival. He is very polite and friendly. Lodge staff tour me around the facility with a smile on her face. I had a great time and best experience during my stay.

Location is near Echoland and my room has a very nice view of the mountain area in the morning. It was so nice to wake up with that view. 2. Clean and well-organized place. The common area is so neat and relaxing, you would want to stay in the place for longer. My room was so clean, complete with hot water and a heater. It was so comfortable I was able to rest well (more than 12 hrs of sleep 😲) after a day of a long hike. 3. More than the above, I was really happy with the hospitality of the host. Despite challenges in language, she tried her best to help me find the best time and way to get to the mountain resort. Knowing it's my first time in Hakuba she guided me to places around the area. She even extended help to get me to the bus terminal. I love the place and will come back here.😃😃😃

The hosts are kind and thoughtful and gave us very good advice for dinner locally and for our next destination. Best of all, the breakfast was delicious and kept us going all day. Our room was small, but we knew that when we booked so we were not bothered by that in any way. Aovely way to break up the trip from Tokyo to Kamikochi if you have a car and it is worth a visit just for the sake of being there.

A 10-minute drive from Hakuba Happo-One Winter Ski Resort, Pension Tomato offers spacious Western-style rooms with a loft area. Free WiFi is available at the entire property and guests can reserve a private open-air bath overlooking the forest. A free shuttle is available from JR Hakuba Train Station, which is a 5-minute drive away and must be reserved at time of booking. Forest views are available from the 2nd floor of the accommodation. Love it. Super friendly hosts who helped us a lot, offered to pick us up, take us to hire gear at echoland (with discount at affiliated store), take us to deliver our luggage and send us to the station upon checking out. Booked restaurants for us too since we didn't have a local phone number. Thank you so much! Great accommodation, very cosy and nice atmosphere, vending machine inside, 2 onsen rooms (one of which has an outdoor onsen too, very nice in the snow) which can be used privately by booking each day. Drying room for ski gear is very convenient. Short walking distance (<5 min) to free local bus stop to goryu, happo, iwatake and also to echoland base camp for the hakuba valley shuttle. Buses only run a few each day and finish pretty early, best to not miss the last one as getting a taxi can be a pain! Breakfast needs to be booked by 10am from the previous day, but it's amazing, highly recommended.

A 10-minute walk from Happo One Ski Resort, guests at Log Cottage Epoch can rent out an entire cottage. Each spacious cottage comes with free Wi-Fi and includes a kitchen and a living room. JR Hakuba Train Station is a 10-minute drive away. Great hosts who are very helpful in transportation on a daily basis. Getting to the ski slopes, ski rental, groceries, restaurants or even shopping was so easy as they are always available to drop and pick up. We did not have to wait anywhere. The cottage is squeaky clean and we'll furnished and very comfortable with floor, heating, hot water etc. Beautiful place, 3 mins drive from the slopes and toshi san and his wife are always available to pick you up or drop you off on time. Very knowledgeable and helpful with trains, ski rentals etc. Oh, and amazing value for money. Cottage was spacious for our family of four and the amenities are great. Hope we get this place again next season. The onsite onsen is also great.
