Wonderful place, in the middle of the nature. Incredible clean, the towela and bed sheet has a very pleasant smell. The place in clean and well kept. Restaurant available. Location just fantastic, in the middle of the nature. BUT you should know that it is more or less 20 Min walk/hike trouth the forest form the last area which is accessable by car or bike. So if you have a big luggage it can be taff.

This was probably the most amazing place i have ever stayed. The staff was sooo so great and helpful, we did the overnight jungle trek with Johnny and Salamad, we saw 3 orangutans and also a bat cave Trek with Risky which we saw 1 orangutan. It was my birthday during the stay and they threw a surprise birthday party for me with platters of food, a cake and a friend to play live music for us! Absolutely perfect stay, and thank you again to everyone who was working they made our trip so amazing! The rooms were comfortable, and surprisingly cool for just having a fan, and the breakfast was also very nice, we also had hot showers (sometimes, but you can't usually expect them in bukit lawang)

We stayed at Brown Bamboo for 4 nights and we can’t thank enough for Gia and his lovely wife for making our stay really special! The rooms are basic but you have everything what you would need!Super friendly and kind host! They even invited us to join them for a wedding in a village!Gia organised our jungle trekking which is a memory I will never forget! Our guides Gesu and Borneo are the best!!!the jungle trekk with the hot-humid weather is very hard but it is worth every second of it and they will look after you in every step of the way!we saw many orangutans, some very close to us!!!Sleeping in a jungle is very surreal ,but being and sleeping in nature is a one of a kind experience!Gia also organised a trip to Tangakhan where you can wash the elephants in the river and feed them!Great experience! I would absolutely recommend Brown Bamboo guests house if you looking for a friendly and familiar place ! Thank you Gia and family for making our stay really special!

The architecture of room that is like the batak traditional house. Comfortable even though there is no fan or air conditional. The family room is spacious. The resort has nice landscape garden. There is a vegetable farm beside the accommodation. Have nice view of Gunung Sinabung. Although breakfast is not included, it's cafe also serves delicious western food. Like the quiet yet calming of the atmosphere of the hotel. Highly recommended!

The lodge is a real gem on the jungle border. Everything was great, we liked our bungalow, especially the balcony which was a real door to wild nature, yes, with animals visitors included :) The guide from the hotel was highly professional. BTW, a fruit breakfast which the guide made for us during the trekking was soo cute.

The lodge was in a beautiful secluded setting with gorgeous views. I also booked jungle and orangutan trekking with them which was brilliant. The whole team (but particularly Yusup and Geng) made me feel very welcome, went above and beyond for me to get the most out of my experience and tailored the trek to my preferences. Thoroughly recommend 👍🏽

I rarely leave a review, but I had the best stay at Green Travelodge. Jay was super helpful, friendly and accommodating. We also booked the jungle trekking here, and had an amazing stay at the rain forest. Our guides were great and made sure our trekking was comfortable in every possible way. Would definitely recommend this!

It is a fantastic jungle lodge with plenty of monkeys around, just by the National Park. Excellent food, helpful staff, and owner Dedi who is the mastermind behind this family business: He had the bungalows built on the family grounds (a small rubber plantation), he organizes jungle tours or transport. For us he arranged to see Orang Utans in the wild, a driver for one week, airport transfer and porters for our (too) heavy luggage, because you only reach the bungslows on foot by climbing 10-15 minutes of steps on a hill side.
