Didn’t expect the room come with little pantry with ricecooker, water kettle, and stove to cook. Plates, cups and utensil for cooking also provided. But they only allow Halal food ya. There is fridge also. Room is very clean and love the sweet pink color room😆 pool is not too deep and have lovely warm temperature. This place is well maintain.

The location is amazing and you can truly disconnect if you'd like. You can also find a balance and enjoy being in the middle of nowhere by the sea yet have wifi to still call your family or do some work. It's the best balance. The cabins are right on the beach so we spent most of our time chilling outside on the beds watching the sea, listening to music and sometimes cooling off by going for a quick dip. It's like a little disconnected paradise.

Fred, the owner, built this Ecolodge himself with a clear mission: to be 100% sustainable. Every aspect of the property reflects that goal—everything is green, circular, and thoughtfully designed. The lodge is impressively clean, well-maintained, and full of character. The rooms are spacious, freshly renovated, and each comes with its own private bathroom. We stayed in the Double Room, which was very comfortable and equipped with a fan—perfect for keeping cool at night. All the essentials are available on-site, including kayak and snorkeling gear rentals, which made exploring the area super convenient. One of the absolute highlights of our stay was the food. Sook Peng, Fred’s wife, is not only an incredible cook but also a truly warm and welcoming person. Sharing meals with her was a joy, and her cooking made every meal memorable. There are also cozy hammocks for relaxing, and the peaceful atmosphere made it easy to unwind. We couldn't recommend this place more highly—it's a rare gem built with heart and purpose. Set atop a 100 metre hill overlooking the Kinabatangan Forest Reserve, The Last Frontier Boutique Resort is located in Bilit, and is located a 2 hour drive from the beautiful Sandakan.

This property features rooms that provide towels and bed linen. The en suite bathroom comes with free toiletries. We loved the location, the rooms and the service. The food in the middle of the forest is amazing and the chats with the owners insightful. Highly recommended!

Bayu Senja Lodge features garden views, free WiFi and free private parking, located in Kundasang.

The lodge offers a flat-screen TV and a private bathroom with free toiletries, a hairdryer and bidet. For added convenience, the property can provide towels and bed linen for an extra charge. We stayed at this lodge for one night. It's very nice and comfortable lodge especially the room with balcony. It's beyond my expectations. Very clean and tidy room. The toilet is also very clean, shower and heater works properly and great. The view from this lodge is very amazing although mount Kinabalu is not at our side but the view is still very nice and amazing. Overall, Bayu Senja Lodge ( especially the room with balcony ) is very nice, good and comfortable to stay. The management should build more room like this in the future. Once the lodge canteen starts operating, the lodge has become much better place to choose for staying.

At the lodge you will find a restaurant serving Chinese, Malaysian and Grill BBQ cuisine. Vegetarian and halal options can also be requested. Price including all activities. Everything was perfect, quiet place, good food and extremely nice staff especially Linda that is a really dedicated and knowledgeable person during the cruises!

Vegetarian, dairy-free and halal options can also be requested. Beautiful resort and great value for money. Large, comfy beds and clean bathrooms. Food is of good standard, and location is amazing, being in-between the RDC and Orangutan and Sunbear Sanctuaries (as long as you are happy being in the middle of nowhere). Good wifi connection and signal, and amazing staff members

Some accommodation includes a terrace with mountain views, a fully equipped kitchen and a private bathroom with bidet. Great view, superb facilities, clean & comfortable.

Featuring sea views, Maglami-lami Water House in Semporna features accommodation and a restaurant.

There is a private bathroom with bidet in all units, along with free toiletries and slippers.

The lodge offers a sun terrace. I stayed here with my family, on my first trip to Sempurna. Had high expectations after seeing a lot of pics from Sempurna and they did not disappoint. The check in and drop off were seamlessly arranged. They also helped arrange our tour while we were there. The first day we went sea walking and the next day we went island hopping with a good amount of time spent snorkelling. There are also activities arranged near the water house, we did a bit of kayaking around the water house. The rooms are clean. The staff are very kind and helpful with good karaoke and music after dinner. Being in the sea, the sea food served during the buffet dinner was really good. This is a good place to take fabulous photos and also to soak in the goodness of the sea and nature. Sempurna was a lovely place, and I met a lot of interesting people. It's not crowded like KK and therefore you get to really enjoy all the sea activities at a pace we find good. The people like all in South East Asia are very kind, welcoming and warm. I'm sure I won't have any second thoughts to choose Maglami-lami Waterhouse if we ever plan another trip to lovely Sempurna.

If you would like to discover the area, hiking is possible in the surroundings and the lodge can arrange a car rental service. Howard was an exceptional host. From the minute we arrived, he made us feel settled and showed us around the area. He offered to bring us every morning to wherever we wanted to go along the tip of Borneo. The jungle camp itself is so special and there is a great vibe amongst the other travellers. We would have loved to stay longer but we needed to catch the bus to Sandakan (and they don’t go very often!)
