The location is perfect to visit the temples (about 25mn walk). The neighborhood is quiet with a view on the lake.
I've loved the nubian style of the whole place, the stone floor in the room. It was very simple and rustic.
The staff was nice especially Mahmoud.
They offer trip on their own boat.

Unique atmosphere, with many Nubian design references. Island setting with boat taxi available, offers rare chance of peace and tranquillity apart from the busy streets of the mainland. Subtle lighting at night adds sophistication and allows the wonderful view of Philae temple [of Isis] to be fully appreciated.
The adjoining Solaih Nubian restaurant offers authentic menu using local ingredients - be sure to order at least a day before. We used Whatsapp to list our food selection and our choices were all prepared for our visit. It paid to be adventurous and the addition of lentil and spinach dishes with meat options, was flavoursome. Portions are large. Only the bread disappointed somewhat.
Remember to take mosquito repellant as this saved us - there were quite a few around even in December.

Great location by the lake, and only a short walk to the temple (20 min). We stayed in a newly built room, which was very big and beautifully decorated. Food (dinner and breakfast) was very delicious. The lodge offers boat tours. We did the Sunrise boat tour, which we highly recommend.

Eskaleh Eco-Lodge is the place where to stay in Abu Simbel, it is almost a destination in its own. It is owned by a famous Nubian singer and it is the place to experience Nubian culture. The personnel is incredibly friendly, the restaurant is very good, the main building of the hotel is very nice, built in traditional Nubian style. Rooms are in separate bungalows also very nicely decorate, very well equipped and very comfortable. They also organised our transport by car from and to Aswan. Everything perfect.

We liked that the Eskaleh Eco-Lodge has embraced and showcases Nubian culture! The room we had was nicely decorated and met our needs for the night we stayed. Nice and peaceful and great view of Lake Nasser. The food served at the lodge is good. Very tasty. I highly recommend the fish!

The location is great, away from the noise in Aswan. Having breakfast with a view of Philae Temple is super. Room furniture is basic but has all one needs. Staff is friendly and correct. Kitchen at Eco Nubia served us the best food of our trip. Breakfast is local Nubian food, interesting and very tasty. Mohammed organized us a boat each time we wanted to leave / return to the lodge - flawless communication via Whatsapp. We loved our stay.
