Went to Motswiri with my wife to celebrate my 40th birthday From the moment the booking was made, everything was so easy and taken care off. Starting with Tammy at reservations to Bill and Amy and their whole team There is nothing not to like about Motswiri, the food the staff, great coffee. Elliot our range is a true gem of a guide and made our trip extra special. Even though it was not necessary i was spoiled with lots of birthday surprises Thanks all hopefully we can be back soon

Staffs were always ready for everything. Food was really tasty and great. Kind & Friendly. Hotel was luxurious, clean and comfy. We could see many elephants right in front of hotel, too. Outdoor shower is amazing. Lots & lots stars at night.. Beautiful area. ( Safari 👍)

From the moment we arrived, we were very well looked after by Clarinda and the rest of the team. Our lodge was marvellous in every way – an outside rock shower, a huge indoor bath. A beautiful canopied bed to keep the mossies out and a large, very private decking area where we could watch the animals passing by on their way to the watering hole. Housekeeping was just perfect. We never saw them but everything was done for us including putting hot water bottles in our bed for the chilly nights. The food was first class too. The chef obviously takes great pride in the presentation. It was beautiful. The lodge watering hole was just fabulous. One lunchtime, there were 16 elephants drinking from it along with some tiny ones. It was mesmerising and from the viewing tunnel you can get so close to them. Martin our ranger was an absolute star. He went above and beyond to show us the wildlife in the park and we will always be grateful to him for giving us such a magical time. He has encyclopaedic knowledge of everything and his love for the animals shines through. Our twice daily game drives were fantastic. Martin strove to locate different animals each day, using his well-equipped Land Cruiser to reach even the furthest corners of the reserve. His tracking skills were uncanny. One day he followed the tracks of a pack of wild dogs before finally finding them taking a break under a shady bush well away from any recognised path. Stopping for morning coffee and afternoon sundowners in remote areas was always a delight and offered a chance to stretch legs and chat to the other holiday makers. We were so lucky to have Martin and so is Tuningi. We will remember it always.

What a place! I could honestly go on forever about how amazing Madikwe Hills Private Game Lodge is! We were return travelers and had another truly incredible stay. From stunningly beautiful rooms, wonderful and very friendly staff, absolutely amazing wildlife and delicious food- nothing is short of perfect. We just wish we stayed longer! We will definitely be back!

Their knowledge and passion for the lodge and its surroundings were evident, and they went above and beyond to ensure that we had a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The facility itself was nothing short of remarkable. Every aspect of the lodge was meticulously designed and maintained, creating a luxurious and tranquil atmosphere. The room we stayed in was simply stunning. The spaciousness, elegant furnishings, and attention to detail made it a cozy and inviting sanctuary. The private pool added a touch of exclusivity and allowed us to relax and unwind in privacy, surrounded by the beauty of the natural surroundings. The game drives were an absolute highlight of our stay. The knowledgeable and passionate game ranger (Willem) provided a wealth of information about the wildlife and their habitats, making each drive an educational and thrilling experience. The encounters with the magnificent animals in their natural habitat were truly awe-inspiring and left us with memories that will last a lifetime. The Boma evening was a truly memorable experience. The traditional setting, the crackling fire, and the delicious food made for an authentic and enjoyable evening. It offered a unique opportunity to connect with other guests and share stories while immersing ourselves in the rich African culture. The food and beverage offerings at Rhulani were exceptional. We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the entire team at Rhulani for their dedication to providing an exceptional guest experience.

We had the Lodge and the team for ourselves for two days. What a privilege! But also when other guests arrived for the two consecutive nights, the service level remained equally high. The whole team was out to make our stay special, from our guide Honest, who we shared some deep insights with: about the world in general and animals in particular. Pauline and Neo looked after all our service needs, while the chef and her team prepared one creative meal after the next. Even though we had a rainy and cold winter day, the team did their best to produce sunshine through their service, bringing lunch to the villa or providing a nice welcome drink by the fire after the game drive. The hide next to the villa, equipped with tea, coffee and cold drinks, was an extra benefit. We certainly enjoyed the different herds wandering through from the comfortable hide. The Villas, in a contemporary but comfortable style, cater d to all our needs, from an evening by the fireplace with a glass of wine to the morning tea. All that in a stylish, but warm and friendly environment. We certainly would consider Rockfig for another stay!
