The information about the lodge was too modest. The food experience we had was outstanding! Totally unexpected from the information given. It wasn’t just a breakfast or a dinner, but a gourmet adventure of international standard!. Credit to the chef Elvis and his support team. The camp is extremely clean and there’s a lot of attention to detail and service. The location of the lodge by a water hole, brings game viewing right to your balcony. What more can a guest ask for?

Shepherds Tree Game Reserve is a lodge concession, located on the south western portion of the Pilanesberg Game Reserve and 18 km away from Sun City.

Our stay at Stroomrivier was exceptional. The location is stunning in the middle of a private reserve where we were visited by rhino and buffalo at our doorstep. The staff were also amazing, nothing was too much trouble and they made sure we were well looked after. Huge thank you to Godfrey for being such a champ and going above and beyond.

A beautiful lodge, looking into a waterhole. Tastefully decorated. The rooms were large and well appointed. The staff were exceptional- everyone was friendly, polite and helpful. Our ranger Clifford managed to show us everything, including the Big 5 over 2 days, which was incredibly fortunate.
