This place feels like paradise. The mountain range, the vineyards, the well kept premises, the owners/family, dogs, cats and food are all wonderful. We had the Strelitzia house which has everything you may ever need. The beds are comfortable, the kitchen well equipped, but more importantly the place feels homey and historical. The veranda was our favourite spot day and night. Sharon, the host is very friendly and helpful. She thinks along with you and has great tips. She is available, but not intrusive. We love this place and are looking forward to returning one day.

This hotel was so beautiful - the pictures don't do it justice! Staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, room has the most incredible view, rooms are clean and modern. Located opposite the beach where we watched whales and orcas. There is a quick hike to a cave a couple minutes drive away. About 10 minutes from town where there are a few restaurants and most activities (whale watching, shark diving etc). Breakfast was exceptional - warm options, great coffee and a great spread. Cannot recommend this hotel enough.

Where dreams come true: We were spoiled for comfort, attention, care in these magnificent surroundings! The building is intriguingly designed, one feels like on a ship in the dunes. In the evening, spectacular sunset views await. At night, it's a perfect location for star gazing. With any weather, the views on the sea and mountains are spectacular! The central fire place makes the mornings and evenings comfy and cozy. The food is all freshly prepared with fresh ingredients and very tasty. The host family are the warmest and gentlest we've ever met. "Be at home", they said. We were.

The 5-star Sea Star Lodge is situated directly at the Walker Bay overlooking the Atlantic coastline of Hermanus. The lodge features a modern and spacious design.

Saxon Lodge was one of the best places to stay during our three week vacation in South Africa. The owners in particular were always very friendly and genuinely interested in us. We felt at home right from the start. All our questions were answered at all times. We were given an upgrade due to minor building work on our room. The location of the accommodation is perfect and the view of the harbor is magnificent. Thank you! We would stay here again at any time.
