I had the pleasure of staying at the Zarafa in Hazyview for two nights, and I could have easily extended my stay for a week if time permitted. The experience was flawless, with exceptional attention to detail that truly set it apart. The villa was absolutely stunning, offering complete privacy to enjoy the pool, dine on the gazebo, and unwind in a serene setting with breathtaking views, all while being completely isolated from any noise or distractions. The bathroom was equally impressive, featuring a spacious his-and-her vanity, a bath stocked with an array of luxurious salts and gels, and a large, well-appointed shower. Dinner was a standout experience – a five-course meal that would satisfy even the heartiest of appetites. As a fine dining chef, I must say that every dish was executed to perfection. Barrie, the owner, went above and beyond to personally introduce himself to all the guests. He made sure everyone felt welcome and took extra care to accommodate any special requests. He even arranged an early breakfast pack and provided binoculars for our early game drive. If you have the opportunity to stay at Zarafa and choose not to, you’re truly missing out on an exceptional experience that goes far beyond just a place to stay. As an added bonus, we were lucky enough to spot the resident giraffe during our stay. Barrie shared that she sometimes drinks from the pool, although she didn’t do so while we were there.

It was in an extremely beautiful setting with stunning views. Each chalet was extremely private, and the views from the terrace and private plunge pool were breathtaking. Each member of staff was friendly and highly attentive, from the owners to the night watchman who was always waiting with a torch to light our way when we went for dinner. The owners Russel and Janice always enquired if all was in order, and asked each day what we had done and they were also always ready to share their own stories and experiences and give advice on possible excursions etc. The all-round attention to detail and the thoughtfulness were out of this world. We were sad when the time came for us to leave. We would definitely visit again.

Hennie is a very nice, kind man who is willing to explain everything. The area is so beautiful! We did a few tracks around the house. There is a gate (ask the access code by app in advance). The house itself is very old, there is a huge kitchen you can use, the shower is perfect! The breakfast is so much, with more than you can eat yoghurt, fruit, their own coffee (!) from the plantation, bread, eggs, jam, honey and even cheese. We will come back if we are again in the area.

The property sits atop a hill and is gorgeous. It’s my idea of heaven. The views from the room and the dining area are beautiful! The owner Renata made sure we had everything we needed. The breakfast is plentiful, rooms are nice and very clean, service was excellent. We had a wonderful stay and look forward to coming back.

Staff were brilliant. The Lodge have their own safari vehiles and guides. . Chadrack our guide was amazing. helping with my granddaughter and her wheelchair. He was very informative telling us all about the animals. The food in the restaurant was good and the main lodge was lovely. Our room was adequate. Beds were comfy. Everywhere was very clean. Close enough to Hazyview which had a great Mall. We had a hire car to get around in.

Wow! Absolute nice and clean Lodge for a Stay in Krueger National Park! Very kind staff and a great Safari Game Drive. Awesome Pool with a direct view to Krueger and some Hippos. Love to stay here again!

We absolutely LOVED our stay at Linvale Country Lodge. Charles and Miné gave us a warm welcome, told us all about the environment and shared tips on where to go. Ask them to book you a safari, it is great! Also, stay for dinner, because the food we had was delicious. Those braai evenings were so good! Thanks for the wonderful stay, this is one to remember.
