I had an incredible stay at Blue Reef! The location is perfect, right by the beach, and the gym area was fantastic, allowing me to get some great workouts in during my stay. The staff and owners were incredibly welcoming and offered excellent recommendations for tours and activities. I also felt completely safe throughout my visit, which meant a lot as a solo female traveler. The food was absolutely delicious, and they were happy to accommodate specific dietary needs. Overall, I couldn’t recommend this place enough and would definitely come back!

The staff at this property are all great! They all go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable. The owners are the best we have ever experienced. This translates as to why the place feels welcoming and lovely to stay. The rooms were wonderful, clean and spacious. Price was good and breakfast is great. Overall, we had a great experience, will visit again and highly recommend.

Nice staff. Housekeepers and waiters was kind and friendly. Good location very close the beach. The hotel is located in a beautiful environment. I stayed 1 month here. The kitchen is very good! They make delicious meals!

Location is great, restaurants within walking distance. Paje with ATM and shops easily accessible by bus (an experience not to be missed). Gillian and her staff are amazing, very helpful and always smiling.

Very nice staff. Good restaurant and delicious breakfast. We got a free upgrade to a better bungalow. The accommodation had a wonderful atmosphere. Lots of hammocks, beautiful interior and lovely dogs. We admired numerous palm trees and listened to the sound of the sea. We liked the quiet, almost deserted beach. There are far fewer traders than on other beaches.

The staff at Monkey Mountain Lodge were incredibly kind and welcoming, we’ve never felt so well taken care of. The place itself is absolutely beautiful and will stay in our memories forever. The bungalows are clean, cozy, and offer amazing views with baobab trees. Every morning we were visited by adorable blue monkeys, which made the stay even more special! The breakfasts were also delicious. Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Zanzibar!

For us nature-lovers, this was a dream accomodation, surrounded by nice forest with lots of birds, monkeys, bushbabies etc. The entrance of the national park is only 200 m away. The room was prepared very nicely with flowers on the bed etc. Hotel staff were extremely nice, calm and very helpful. We tried several local items on the menu in the restaurant, and we simply LOVED the food, which was excellent and reasonably priced. If you dine there, you must try the swahili selection!
