This place is so peaceful and the view is amazing although you couldn’t see the mountain but it’s still nice. It’s perfect for people who wants to climb the mountain. Staying one night before the climb would be nice and Kinabalu Park is only a few meters away.

Reasonable comfort and price close to the Kinabalu Park. Given the difficulties in obtaining public transport (or Grab) in the area, the closer to the park you stay, the better for you. This hotel is not the best in this respect, but it is still within a reasonable walking distance.

Nestled amongst the mountains in Ranau, Nabalu Kundasang is nothing short of a homely stay. The property features on-site shops, free parking and a restaurant.

The hotel was wonderfully clean, the room was big and also clean with a nice balcony. Kettle and coffee in the room. Well located near the town. Very pleasant stay and exceptionally well priced. Comfy beds, comfy chairs and big bathroom.

We stayed here for 5 days and overall had a pleasant experience. The staff were very nice and accommodating. One of them even helped us find transportation late at night, which we really appreciated. The food was good, the room was clean and comfortable, the beddings were obviously cleaned and well-washed. The view was beautiful. Despite some issues, we still enjoyed our stay thanks to the friendly staff and overall good atmosphere.

The location is good even though the road to the area is a bit steep. Easy access to necessities & tourist spots. The room is spacious with a nice view from the balcony with sitting area (fyi, it’s not facing mt. kinabalu). Fits 2-3 pax since there’s an extra mattress. There’s also a public kitchen available and a cafe which opens until 9pm.
