A perfect place for us…small local homestay near rice paddies and view of Lion's Rock. The owner is so positive and cheerful. He helped us learn about wildlife in his garden, recommended local restaurants and organized most of our tours. The breakfast was so wonderful - we stayed 4 nights and every morning we had different Sri Lankan choices. There were sunny-side-up eggs every morning. A thermos full of hot water to make your own coffee or tea plus a lovely local juice. You can easily walk to see local rice fields and a view of the Lion's Rock. There are many restaurant options on the local road leading to the homestay. There are hammocks to relax in while you enjoy the beautiful garden with local wildlife. A quiet and peaceful retreat! 4 rooms available…snatch yours up! We were kindly welcomed with King coconut drink; owner is so positive and so helpful - every tour that he helped us book was well organized and we learned so much; beautiful garden area with hammocks, parakeets, turtle, chipmunks, toucan…; outside sitting area outside of room; breakfast area outside as well - delicious breakfast with eggs, roti with onion, Dahl crispy cakes, honey hopper, delicious passionfruit juice and coffee…yum!; breakfast varied each day with wonderful local food; easy to walk to a variety of dinner restaurants; easy to book safaris, day trip to Ancient City Of Polonnaruwa and night visit to jungle to see Loris and other wildlife through homestay; bed was comfortable - beautiful wooden canopy beds with lovely mosquito nets; very clean room; spacious room and bathroom; furnished simply with planning; has 2 shelves and a rack with hooks for hanging items; electrical outlets near bed; near local rice fields; beautiful view of Lion's Rock from outside of homestay; supporting a local family

Lovely friendly host family available to look after your every need. Great clean and comfortable room and bathroom in the quiet garden with private access. Big breakfast and also recommend eating in for dinner. Five minute walk to highway where there is a supermarket, bakery and cafe. Short Tuktuk ride to the Lion Rock or about 30 minutes walk down the back road to locals entrance.

First of all the host is super friendly! The place is really near to the main sites and the host give us bikes. The breakfast is huge and really good. Definitely recommend!!

Our hosts were warm and welcoming. They helped us with advice, suggestions and laundry. We didn't get to use the pool as it rained but it looked inviting. The rooms (with balconies) were spacious, clean and comfortable. The water was piping hot and the en suites were pristine. Delicious, plentiful breakfasts. Highly recommended.

The location in the middle of the jungle was stunning. At night time all you can hear is the sound of the jungle- quite magical. Waking up to the hundreds of birds all around is also very special. Our trips (a boat ride and safari) and all our transport was perfectly organised by Dhammika who went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable and share his knowledge of the area with us. The food was excellent - Nihal and Ajith made us delicious meals (one breakfast was even served down by the stream which was a lovely surprise). Madurangu and Raju also looked after us so well. We’re so glad we stayed 2 nights. I would happily have stayed much longer!

It was really clean,the bed was comfortable.just a realy good host! Felt like having a second mom. She was waiting till late evening,knowing i come back. Even in the early morning (sun shine) she woke up with me and waited till i got picked up 🙂 I got a breakfast to go in the morning l left just.they entertained us at the nearby hut.it was our best stay in srilanka 🙏 thank you
