We absolutely fell in love with Bissa Villa! The gardens, the pool, the bungalows, the scent of flowers, the sounds of birds and other wildlife.. it was truly paradise! ;-) The welcome from the two hosts, a wonderful couple, was very warm. They showed us around the property and offered that we could still have dinner at their restaurant The Train Hut (even though we arrived late). We ended up eating there every single night during our stay! They offer a fantastic combination of Sri Lankan - backpacker - Western style food, which is a hit for every tourist, of course. The pool was very relaxing after a day out in the "Golden Triangle", and the breakfast pancakes (Sri Lankan style, sweet pancakes, rolls with honey and cardamon and coconut) were favorite for our kids. And they had proper coffee! You could tell the hosts have been to Europe, as they spoke very good English and knew what their customers want. A touch of home combined with the adventures of Sri Lanka! Our hosts had some very entertaining stories about how they chase away monkeys off the property, as well as elephants that visit in the night (not during our stay).

We absolutely loved staying at Sigiri Jungle Villa. Its location is fantastic - few minutes walking to Sigiria, local bus stand and the town centre as well. The cleanliness of the apartment was just outstanding, very very clean and nicely equipped. We got everything we needed. It is clear that the owner is taking great care of the area - even the walls were newly painted for the season. We also loved the jungle in front of the apartment! Absolutely stunning mornings and evenings we could spend on the terrace surrounded by nature. (Also there were no mosquitos). Rich breakfasts were the best we got so far in Sri Lanka. We could also order homemade dinners made by the owner and his family - excellent food with tea and fruits for a great price, not to mention that the owner also arranged convenient elephant Safari trip for us. I could go on and on with the positive comments. Thank you very much for everything and we hope to see you again!

It was really clean,the bed was comfortable.just a realy good host! Felt like having a second mom. She was waiting till late evening,knowing i come back. Even in the early morning (sun shine) she woke up with me and waited till i got picked up 🙂 I got a breakfast to go in the morning l left just.they entertained us at the nearby hut.it was our best stay in srilanka 🙏 thank you

We stayed 2 nights at the Sigiri art home. It is a lovely place hidden in the jungle. From the comfortable furniture at the patio, you can enjoy the sights of the beautiful garden. When we arrived we were welcomed very kindly. The room and bathroom were clean and the bed was very comfortable. The AC functioned perfectly. In the morning we got a delicious Sri Lankan breakfast. The host and his wife are kindhearted and want to make sure your stay is up to your wishes. When we ran out of gas with our rented tuk tuk, the host even brought us to a gas station to get a bottle of fuel. He was truly a lifesaver.

A calm, clean, and wonderfully cosy little hotel. Close to the world heritage site - Sigiriya Rock Fortress and pidurangala historical religious site. The staff are extremely friendly, polite, and attentive; constantly attempting to ensure guest satisfaction. Food is on a set menu and is absolutely mouthwatering! This little hiding gem truly deserves everyone's attention for all its fabulous services. It is just couple of steps away for bird watching area and the beautiful lake. Free of charge night safari were fantastic and great experience.

Stunning location, monkeys are swinging around the trees during the day and very close to both rocks to climb. Staff were SO friendly and helpful, they could not do enough to make your stay more pleasant. Bed was so comfortable! Could not recommend it enough.

All was excellent . We loved the family who looked after us while we stayed. They cooked for us every evening with the best food we have eaten while in Sri Lanka ! Delicious! The breakfasts too were delicious with lots of variety! The room was spacious and had great aircon and was extremely clean. The family organised tuk tuk drivers and safari jeeps too. The lodge is a little out of town but so quiet away from the noise of Habarana, we were so happy there.

The lovely chocolatecakes we had when we arrived on our bicycles😁. The family was very helpful in organizing things for us like a safari and a tuktukdriver for a day who drove us to Dambulla, Pidurangala Rock and to our organic cooking class in Sigiriya (which we found on reisjunk).. Manike Lodge Is a very quiet place, which we loved very much.
