I really enjoyed my stay at the Lodge. It was a bit hard to find but once I got there I was greeted warmly by the host and shown to my hut. The dinner they cooked for me was delicious and I really enjoyed our chat at the fire. I still miss the little chick that conquered my shoulder. The fluffy ball remained seated there the whole evening cuddled into my neck :)
The hut itself was very cosy and I loved the fireplace ( which was necessary as the nights were very cold when I stayed there in August ).
The Wifi-connection depends on the weather and is not the best but, again, the lodge is located in a valley in a rural area and the huts are further up the mountain so it is to be expected.
Bring a Kindle or simply enjoy the view of the surrounding mountains. You might even get some nice captures of the Wildlife if you are patient.
Ideal for nature-lovers looking for a self-sufficient getaway, lodges are fully furnished and self-catered. Usually made of wood and surrounded by forests or mountains, lodges can be part of a group or a single unit. More remote than holiday homes, lodges are popular for safari trips.

We had a very relaxing stay at Mamallacta Lodge. The owner, Rosario, and the rest of the staff were very welcoming from the moment we were picked up from the airport until we departed the lodge. The property is very close to the Termas de Papallacta at a much more affordable rate.

I stayed with my family and we all really enjoyed our stay here.
The lodge has multiple areas to relax in and has a varied menu available for lunch and dinner. The breakfasts were lovely and different each day.
The spa is also right around the corner.
The beds were very comfy.
The staff were great, Juan was very kind and attentive to any questions we had.
It was a pleasure to stay here.

Hip and nicely designed modern lodge right next to the Papallacta Thermal Baths. The staff was kind and welcoming and spoke very good English. They even helped us with transportation to Quito.
The area is great for trail running and mountain biking up towards Cayambe-Coca National Park. Check out the rooftop chill area, it has awesome views of Antisana.
Great breakfast, the fresh guanabana juice was outstanding! Order it if even if you don't happen to get this one with your breakfast.

We visited Papallacta primarily to visit the baths fed by the hot springs inside the ‘Termos de Papallacta’ resort. There is a hotel inside the resort, but it’s very expensive. Mamallacta is a wonderful alternative as it is located just a few minutes walk from the entrance to the resort and is a great deal more affordable.
Additionally we found Mamallacta Lodge to be comfortable and clean. The food was good, and the quality of service offered by the staff was exceptional.
