Beautiful hostel up in the mountains. You need to take a moto taxi or 4WD to access the accommodation. One of the staff spoke English and was extremely helpful, providing information on the hostel and how runs. The lodges are comfortable with charging points, and a view. The team is kind and helpfull 🥰 and if you don't look for confort after a treck for exemple, the place is in the middle of the forest which is nice.

Caoba is an amazing place, the staff was super friendly, the grounds are breathtaking (reservoir with different ponds with endangered amazon fish, rare plants etc.). we did hikes (walks) the waterfalls, visited the cacao farm, did yoga and had a massage. everything was great! for the birthday of my partner i ordered a cake that was super delicious! the food overall was great! in short: - great location to unwind, beautiful surrounding, you can feel this place was created with love - staff does its upmost to make you comfortable and organised a hike for us to minca with transportation of our luggage - loved the good and sustainability approach - cute dogs (we didn’t find them boisterous but actually super cute, but they also leave uou alone if you don’t continously scratch them)

Really nice local hosts. The place is in an remote place around 15 min walk from Calabazo in the direction of the national park. You already have the impression that your in the park. I really recommend this place. You are of the crowd, which comes through the main entrance. The food was really delicious and local, for a very fair price. Thanks a lot for the great time !!

It really felt like heaven once up there. The adventure of getting at the location makes it even more appealing for people who are enjoying an offroad motorbike ride and a bit of a hike. The hosts Marcelo and Juan Pablo are really great people too and will do the best to make you feel comfortable. We will deffo return next year!
