Sofiana Hotel has a perfect location near the beautiful beach My Khe beach. It is no wonder that this beach is so famous and also recommended by the Forbes magazine. The 2 minutes walk to the beach and the central location near a variety of cafes and restaurants makes the location optimal for a stay in Da Nang. We stayed in the modern and cosy hotel for 5 nights. Everything that was promised by the hotel manager Vivian during the warm welcome has been exceeded. Vivian told us that they treat their guests as family members. It wasn't just about the careful planning of our stay, activities, great detailed recommendations, making our stay easier and more pleasant in every possible away, about the water and watermelon during the check in in the hotel, the hard working and attentive hotel personnel, it was about the whole experience. We have travelled around Vietnam before the stay at Sofiana, so we have already had some very pleasant experiences and have learned about the hospitality of the Vietnamese people, but the Sofiana stay was different. It was about family feeling, feeling seen, treated as royalty but with perfect attentiveness and familiarity. Vivian is a smart, charming, empathic, multi-talented person with perfect English. She is a perfect asset for every boutique or luxurious hotel worldwide. We were amazed by her skills to keep everything in sight and to complete the amazing hospitality and efforts of her staff. The breakfast was very tasty, everything was fresh, there was a great variety of Asian and European breakfast buffet and numerous vegetarian dishes. The room was spacious, tastefully decorated and very comfortable. All in all, we had a perfect stay. When we come again to Da Nang, we are going to stay at Sofiana again for sure. Big thank you to Vivian and her team for making our Vietnam experience even more unforgettable.

Everything was great there. Good localisation, in the the city centre. Kind and helpful staff. Electric kettle and coffee set in the room. Large and comfy bed. Clean and light interior. Great swimming pool at the rooftop. Tasteful and diversive breakfast.

This was an iconic tourist trap.

This was an iconic tourist trap. Immediately when we pulled up several shop owners are waiting outside to offer you free parking and then follow you around the shop asking you to please buy something small at the end when you return. We entered and walked up the stairs, and each section was very busy and crowded, like we mean CROWDED. There are sections to walk up different areas in the caves, but there is no signage, it’s extremely slippery. There is one part that is an outdoor climb to a summit, and the top is rugged terrain and there is no signage, so people are in the way, and then climbing down he other side requires you to squeeze through a cave, which is impossible as there is a steady flow of people coming up through the cave so you can’t get down, and we had to re climb up and hen go down the way we climbed up. We didn’t even see the main pagoda because the lack of signage. Overall, there was no signs to direct us back to the car either and we had to walk around another 20 minutes to get back to the scooters. We would not recommend this experience.

Marble Mountains was well worth the trip and walk.

Marble Mountains was well worth the trip and walk. It is strenuous though for those over 70 with weak legs. When we saw how high the stone steps were and uneven we had to take extra care (being also quite short) so a good tip and best to shorted the amount of caves to visit. We started at the end with elevator and saw the first one, views and gardens and then progressed to the last which is in my opinion the best. You can then walk down a huge cliff of steps which we were advised to do or go back to where you started (might be the better option so some flat walking.) Be aware the shops at the entrance are quite persistent for business so say no thanks politely if not interested. We did sit in the largest cave soaking it all in while we rested our legs. Worth the pain.

If it is raining or too hot, visit the caves first. Then, have lunch between visiting the caves and the mountains. SAM's restaurant, which is close to the parking, is a must-visit—it looks a little untidy, but the food is awesome! SAM's have vegetarian options.

A must do including the Pagoda, and Ba Na Mountains. 12 hour trip well worth it for 1.400.000 Vnd. You will not regret. Book at hotel foyer, so easy. Pick up & Drop off there as well. This is a 5 * event.

AMAZING. Get there early. 8am is too late.

AMAZING. Get there early. 8am is too late. By 8:30 it is packed. The chairlifts start at 7:30am. Those big tourist busses start arriving at 7:45am. Also pre purchase your chairlift/admission tickets…gonna save you some hassle.

I have toured Marble Mountain several times in the past, but...

I have toured Marble Mountain several times in the past, but this is the first time in many years and the tour today is significantly different than it was 20 years ago. You used to have to cave crawl to get to the top of Marble Mountain for the sunset views, but now access is via stone stairs.

They were very kind and sometimes feed me, they also helped me with other things I had a balcony with a view of the mountains. This is the perfect choice for a hike to the marble mountains - the most beautiful place in Da Nang

This is a beautiful, clean and spacious apartment with very kind and sweet owners who met me upon arrival. The location of this beautiful apartment which is away from tourists and near the beautiful marble mountains and the beaches felt like an ideal place to be situated in Da Nang. It is a very peaceful local neighbourhood and well situated to all the major attractions.
