Go see it up close!
Go see it up close! You can really see how tall it is and why the monument was considered the tallest building when it was first built. Didn't get to go inside, but you can sit around it (on grass or benches) and just admire the entire area. Especially on a sunny day, it is just so beautiful. Go during the day and go back during the night when it is lit up. Such a different experience - both are great!

So close to everything what you want to see within a walking distance….Capitol, Washington Monument, White House and the huge area of parks, museums etc. we had a parking fee includes in a room package and it was cheaper than buy separately.

The hotel is nice, clean and well decorated. The room was a decent size and it even had a small closet. Staff is friendly and very welcoming. The location is amazing with only about 20 min walk to the Washington Monument. There are plenty of bars and small restaurants around. The hotel itself has a bar/restaurant and a coffee shop.

Washington Monument is worth a visit but you need to book tickets in advance or be prepared to queue up at 8am at ticket office on 15th street for the days distribution. It's FREE and you'll have your tickets by 8:40!!!!
