We stayed at the Khao Lak Marriot on an opening deal and were incredible impressed to say the hotel hadn't even been open for a month. The staff were all superb and each restaurant offers something different. We loved the vast beach at the property and the adult only pool was a very welcomed amenity.

We had a wonderful stay at this small, clean, and newly built resort. It’s run by an amazing and incredibly friendly family who made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Their communication was excellent, and they helped us book all of our tours in advance, which made our trip so much easier. The location is also perfect—just a short 10 mins walk from the main street, yet still quiet and relaxing. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

This one is definitely a hidden place! I don't know where to start. The family is so friendly and welcoming. They took a lot of time to show us the area, explain the culture and spent time with us. In the evening they would even play card or board games with our children. They do have a large cave on their property which you can discover with them. That's pretty awesome. My children now believe that Batman lives in Thailand. All typical trips around the jungle and the lake can easily be organized. No need to worry that this might be complicated. The food was also very delicious, the family cooked for us and gave recommendations what to try to dive into the Thai eating culture. For the children there was enough western food to make it easy going for them also. There is plenty of entertainment on their property also: feeding large fish, searching shrimps, playing in the small natural pool, running around in the garden, searching frogs and playing games. To round this up, the hotel is very silent, no other tourists around as the hotel is the only one in the area and has three tiny houses only which is very relaxing.

Tranquil and peaceful. We had a relaxing few days spent here. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We booked a day trip with the hotel and they gave us a packed bag to take with us which was very thoughtful and convenient.

A magnificent place from which to experience Thai's natural...

A magnificent place from which to experience Thai's natural environment. Highly recommended despite the rather rudimentary accommodation options on the lake. However, it is only worth going to Khao Sok if you stay on the lake as that is where the hikes through the rainforest are and where the animals are. Treat the accommodation as part of the experience!

A lovely laid back resort with individual bungalows well spaced out in the middle of the jungle. Quiet and peaceful surrounded by wildlife. Short goes above and beyond for his guests to ensure they have everything they need. Pool is fantastic for lazing about during the day or cooling down after a day out. Breakfast is made to order and good value for money. Bungalow was spacious, clean and comfortable. Khao Sok village is about 1.5km away and the hotel has a free shuttle taxi three times a day. Great WiFi. Good value for money.

The hostel is amazing! It’s on the main road of Khao Sok village, the beds are spacious and they have a clever design. You have space to leave your belongings next to the mattress and even a built in shelf you can lock if you want to keep your stuff safe. The staff is kind and helpful, the whole hostel is clean, and the breakfest is amazing! 10/10 would recommend!

Very good hotel in. Khao Sok. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. They were a bit basic but quality-price ratio was great. The hotel is at the end of the village which makes it super calm at night. Breakfast was basic but really good. Beautiful river views from our bungalow.

Honestly the best hostel I’ve stayed in my life. So clean and tidy, very comfortable, bathrooms also very clean. Staff are so friendly and helpful all the time. If you’re unsure of where to stay for Khao Sok Lake, I can promise you this hostel is easily the best.

Nice little hostel, quite modern and clean. The room and the bed were comfortable as well. The staff was nice and helpful. If you’re staying in Khao Sok village for a fee nights this is the perfect lodging for you!

Very nice room with big beds and beautiful terrace in the treetops. Very nice staff who took good care of us and arranged a perfect 2 day 1 night trip to Cheow Lan Lake with a private bathroom accommodation. Luggage was stored in the hotel and the trip was amazing. We would highly recommend the combination of Khao Sok jungle huts and the lake tour.

The hotel staff was amazing, super friendly and helpful. We found a cockroach in our room (not unusual in Thailand isn’t it) and they helped us evacuate it from the room, they also checked under the bed with sheets and all. All inquiries that we had they always helped and responded! Everything was very clean. You can buy some Khao Sok tours and activities directly at their reception.
